Not recommending for families with children
Hotel is definitely not as seen in the pictures. There is no beach in 200m and location is in the middle of nowhere between warehouses. It may seems like an 5 star hotel but it was more like 2* hotel. Definitely not recommending for people with children since you have like nothing to do there. Rooms and the hotel also stinked and bed sheets were dirty. They also charge you for everything. Tourist trap for sure. Only good thing was that the personal was friendly.

Very tired hotel. Window view of an upgraded room was on barbed wired parking lot with train tracks. Breakfast an absolute minimum.

Pleasant decorated room with comfortable bed. We stayed in a suite. Very pleasant helpful staff. Easy free parking. Need to drive a short distance to nearby public lot to access the town. Breakfast offerings were on the weak side not in keeping with the character of the hotel.

Think twice…
1. The door to the hotel room never closed properly without repeated attempts and great strength. It was very loud trying to close the door. 2. The remote to the television did not work. 3. The hotel was empty, void of customers yet it took great effort to be relocated to a room where the door closed properly. 4. It was just myself and two other guests in this massive dining room yet the waiter begrudgingly responded when I asked him to heat up the frittata. The frittata was ice cold on the buffet table. He warms the frittata and also brings runny scrambled eggs??? Absurd just completely absurd. I never asked for scrambled eggs. 5. Only three guests in this massive sized palace hotel and they couldn’t get it right.

Our stay was quite nice. Definitely not 5star. The room we were offered initially was really quite poor. At the back overlooking the railway line. Shower was a bit grubby. Anyway we were moved to a better room. The pool isnice and very clean. Restaurant is very beautiful, breakfast excellent. The hotel is just showing it’s age, a classic that perhaps needs a bit of TLC? Staff helpful

Terrific, historic setting
Second visit . Great setting, looking out on the Mediterranean and just down from historic Marsala producers. Staff is very kind and helpful; rooms are spacious; and the grounds have a majesty few can match. Would definitely book again.

Lovely hotel.
A lovely two night stay in a lovely and well presented hotel. In the heart of Marsala- a short 5 minute drive to the centre. Staff very helpful.

Amazing hotel, a bit old fashioned but truly Grand. Only issue is a lack of GF/Vegan options at breakfast. Besides that everyone is lovely and helpful and all the structures and amenities are immaculate and incredibly well kept.

Very spotty wifi if that is important go somewhere else. Otherwise a beautiful pool with a diving board, conveniently located.

The hotel gives off an impression of better times
The room was large and clean. The public rooms were very old fashioned and very quiet. Breakfast was dreadful- very little choice, poor quality and we had the worst poached eggs we've ever had. No-one had dinner there during our stay. The pool itself is lovely, but the surrounding game ilities tired and old. There is no service if any kind at the pool.

Nice hotel close to town
Nice hotel, close to town. Not an easy walk to town due to not having sidewalks but it's doable. Hotel itself is clean. Pool area is very clean and inviting. Well maintained beautiful grounds. What sets this property apart from the others we've been to is its courteous, respectful and professional staff!

Fine, but a little worn on the edges. It had a very old fashioned feel to it. I felt a bit like I was in the Grand Budapest Hotel. Breakfast was very nice.

A nice stay - the pool was great.
The hotel and staff was very nice.The shower head needs to be attended.As for the hotel position,it was not a nice walk to the centre.We had hoped a harbour walk to view the yachts would have been possible,it wasn't.

The location across from the water was good but other than one nearby restaurant and three or four star accommodations at best, not a place to highly recommend. Certainly more than adequate but not at the 5 star level described.

Had one night here before heading back home from 2 weeks in Sicily. Really nice hotel, great pool area which was a nice luxury. STaff very friendly and helpful, fair amount of English which is not always common in Sicily. Not in city center but close by car. Overall good value. Hotel interior is traditional styling, very well kept.

Excellent Hotel
Excellent hotel and very peaceful at the the end of June. Fantastic swimming pool, good rooms and excellent service. Breakfast was typically Italian but eggs were available at times. Apart from the pool there is not that much to do at the Hotel but we were happy as we spent most of our time in Marsala or visiting other towns. Marsala has plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance from the hotel even if the first part of the walk isnt that pleasant. The local Bucanieri was very good although a little expensive but you can get good value if you choose carefully. The Nashville which is just a little further away is also excellent and good value. The Illy Bar/cafe is also very good for lunch and the staff are very friendly. The only problem with our break was the standard of the car hire pick up/service at Palermo Airport but that's another story.

hotel looks nice,no porter available to assist with bags, first room disappointing shower in poor condition and view over industrial area not the best as you would expect from 5 star hotel, receptionist changed us to courtyard view which was nice and bright no problems, pool was stunning you are charged 2 euros for your pool towels which for grade of hotel was pretty shocking and not told of charge until we went to get new towels and told to keep ours as they charge everytime you change them, staff great and helpful, breakfast good not spectacular good 4 star hotel bit short of 5 stars no real atmosphere or ambiance

Great Service - ideal location
We spent 4 nights at the New Palace Hotel. It was a pleasant surprise. The staff were impeccable in their service provision, rooms were top class and breakfast was a lovely buffet even with typical products. I would rate the hotel as a 4 Star superior and not 5 star because it lacks the services of an indoor heated swimming pool. At least in our room, WIFI services fluctuated in performance and not too reliable. Marsala is an excellent place to locate yourself if you have a car. It is a charming town with great places to eat and within 1-2 hour distance from all the major sites.

Fantastic position to explore this part of Sicily
We are frequent travelers and we can honestly say that the Hotel and Staff are one of if not the best we have encountered. The Reception Staff are excellennt and the relaxed atmosphere as soon as you arrive are magic. If you are traveling to this area dont look any further stay here.

Marsala hotel near tourist marina, recommended
It is a nice hotel with very large, airy and comfortable rooms. Nice swimming pool and loungers. Good breakfast but too many sweet desserts for my taste. Only gripe was the receptionist tried to fob me off with a room with an awful view instead of the one I had booked. We refused to take it and later, magically, a replacement room was suddenly available. It was about a kilometre walk into the old town but found some lovely bars and restaurants there. Close to Florio winnery where they have the Marsala wine in its various forms, worth a visit.

Exceptional Service
The service we received was second to none and we regretted not planning to stay longer. It was a good 25 min walk to the centre but was worth it to stay at such a nice hotel. Breakfast was unusual with a huge selection of colourful cakes.

great place but only when you realise that if you do not ask you do not have. breakfast is a prime example. the stuff for some reason do not cold cuts when the tray is ALMOST empty. If you ask there is no problem. In the room there was no body lotion. We asked in the reception and the hotel told us it was not providing this itom; but gladly they offered us free of charge lotion they had in the reception. Strange way but the b/fast cold meats or cheese were fresh. Do not use the taxi the hotel offers. The taxi driver charges 10 euro for less then a mile drive. t
