The staff were so helpful and friendly and also happy in their workplace which speaks volumes. The room was second to none, it was impeccably clean and so many little extras. The breakfast was fantastic. It was so fresh and clean not a spot of grease in sight. The evening meal was delicious too. The pub is in the most central location for both shops and amenities, i know Tintagel isn't very big but yet again its perfect. This place is certainly valuable for money. We will definitely be telling friends and family about it. "

"What a beautiful setting right next to the beach, very dog friendly, all staff were welcoming and customer service was excellent. In the room there are dry robes for use during your stay. Very quirky pub/hotel. The food was excellent and they cater for gluten free. I recommend for a peaceful romantic getaway."

"The tree Inn is a very traditional and historic inn located within the village centre. The building is split over a traditional horse and cart entrance with the pub on one side and the rooms on the other side. The pub isn't rowdy but if there was any noise it would remain quiet in rooms due to this separation. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the communal areas retain much of the original features of the building. Breakfast is provided within a breakfast room located within the inn side away from the pub. Evening meals if desired can be found in the pub itself. Although the pub itself doesn't have parking, there is a large and free village car park just down from the pub and it is possible to drive to the entrance of the pub to drop off and pick up bags. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I found the Inn to be an excellent place to stay. I particularly liked the historic charm of the building, the friendly, accommodating staff, the ability to use the pub which provides good quality meals, drinks and pool table as well as a log fire. I also thought the location was highly desirable being very close to Bude and the beach whilst being able to retreat to a much quieter location, away from the hustle, bustle and other tourists at the end of the day. Stratton itself is a peaceful and charming village which is worth a visit in its own right and provides that tranquility away from much busier Bude. "
