Clean and recently renovated older hotel with nice full-size outdoor pool. Close to downtown Manteo where many restaurants and shops are located. Did not interact with staff or go in lobby so no opinion there. Hotel was reasonably priced. Will definitely stay there in the future. Bed was comfortable.

Hotel Manteo will be our go too place to stay when in town. Very clean and updated and love the easy check in and check out via text. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend that if you are bringing a dog, let them know right away. They list pet friendly on the web site but when making the reservation, there is not a place to choose a pet fee. I highly recommend Hotel Manteo.

The only negative was that our door was hard to close. I did make the front desk aware of this. Other than that everything was great. The staff was courteous, friendly, and very helpful. One of them was kind enough to add some wording to a kindness rock upon my request that I placed while there. Will definitely be back.

Was very pleasantly surprised! The owners did a great job rehabilitating a property that clearly has some age on it. We were well pleased with the money we spent to stay here!

I was a little worried after reading a review from Dec 10 after I had already booked. It was a last minute thing for work. I found the place clean and quiet and will stay there again.

Not a safe place for people or pets
The hotel is offering monthly rates for locals which has created a place for drug use & sales. There is foot, car & bicycle traffic in & out rooms constantly throughout the night so there was no sleep to be had. Parking lot littered with broken beer bottles, trash & discarded food. Rooms were dirty. Long hairs in the bathtub, blood and dirt on the shower curtain, dirty floor. Water is light brown and cloudy. Coffee maker is on the sink by the toilet. Husband brought me coffee from gas station & I used the creamer offered in the room which was bad and spoiled my coffee. Beds have no fitted sheet on them. Pillows flat as pancakes. Only had hot water half the time. No water pressure. We left a day early bc we had gotten no sleep with the derelicts making noise outside of the room and in the parking lot the entire time.

Stayed there last year for the Bluegrass Festival. Place was moldy, stale and in in significant disrepair. Said I would never stay there again. Saw that it had been upgraded,,, so I took a chance again due to the location. Place and staff have gone from a ZERO to a TEN . I will definately be back next year.

We think something might be wrong in the laundering of the sheets. We both had trouble sleeping from irritation from the bed sheets. Nice new refurbishment of the rooms but would recommend looking into the bed sheet issue.

Disappointed.
I saw this place online and it looked very comfortable and clean. The surroundings looked clean and safe. When I arrived I was given a room that looked nothing like the online pictures. My room was in a old building out behind the new building and it was facing a trailer park. I did not stay for the additional night that I had already paid for.

There is a very well manicured and well kept trailer park behind the hotel property. I am sorry you were disappointed with your room and your stay.
