"Last night on the Island in November"
I decided to spend my last two days in Mallorca in Palma, having been at my apartment on the east coast for two weeks. This was a spur of the moment booking in November, and I am delighted to say that the hotel exceeded my expectations, and provided a base for a relaxed, fun and mindful end to my most recent visit.
Firstly, the location is superb. a short walk to the cathedral, harbour, santa catalina, shopping, restaurants and a very cheap taxi ride to the airport.
Secondly, the room was a lovely size, extremely clean, well equipped, quiet, modern, and calm. My initial room wasn't ready when I arrived, so an immediate upgrade was provided. Seamless and courteous reception staff (thank you Dimas and team!) made the welcome and the entire stay perfect.
The courtyard was lovely for after dinner drinks outside (even in November!), the hotel's Mallorquian/Scandinavian restaurant menu and breakfast were delicious, the bar was small and intimate and the roof was...well...nothing short of heaven. The terrace with its tiny pool and sauna was a little oasis above the rooftops of Palma, gazing directly onto the cathedral on one side, the mountains on the other and the clinking, swaying masts of the yachts in the marina in front. I will be returning in a couple of weeks and have promised myself another night or two here. It is a wonderful little treat of a hotel. I commend the staff and the owners for creating such a marvelous space for mind and body!
