Big apartment for groups with good value for money

Posted 11-Dec-2016
Pros: As we had a very special discount for the 2 nights from Expedia after we’ve purchased the flight tickets, my friends said it’s excellent value for mon
Cons: There was free limited wifi for 1 device at a time, but not for downloading. Need to pay €5 per day per device for premium wifi.
Location: Mijas, Puerto Banus, & the town on the cliff, Ronda are all worth to visit. If driving, can go to nearby towns such as Fuengirola for breakfast/lunch
We are a group of 5 ladies staying in this Superior 3-bedroom 4-bathroom Penthouse apartment for 2 nights in end Nov 2016. All bedrooms are ensuite with 1 extra guest bathroom. 1. This penthouse apartment is on the third floor in the Barcelona Block, which is spacious & bright with a private balcony & larger pool view. Access card was needed to operate the elevator and security seemed to be ensured. 2. The apartment has simple decor, clean and well maintained, though is not recently renovated. We love the ensuite bedrooms and 4 bathrooms are perfect for groups. It has laptop safe, safety deposit box and well-equipped kitchenette. 3. The club house’s indoor heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi are good facilities during winter time. 4. Location of the hotel is about 10km from Marbella Old Town. As we rented a car, it was not a big problem for us. It takes about 6-min to 10-min walk to the supermarket or restaurants in the opposite side of the A7 road. The Nikki beach is just 10-min walk away from the hotel and there are restaurants along the beach. 5. The buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant was quite good, but if you spend a few days here, you may try other cafes too. 7. The hotel’s staff were all very nice & helpful and we felt satisfied with their service. 8. There is free parking in the basement using the access card, but the parking lots are odd shaped, a bit narrow for a 7-seater. There is lift from car park directly accessible to the apartments.

Great place for a base in Andalusia

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: A great find on expedia. Not a huge complex like some over comercialised behemoth. Just right for a quiet, restful holiday. We were a family of five and did not actually spent a lot of time at the resort per se. We were out seeing the sights of beautiful Andalusia in the perfect weather but I'm sure the hotel will have everything for every type of travellers. There are indoor facilities which I am sure would have kept us busy should the weather be horrible. There were squash courts, gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi only thing I could not see was a steam room though there was a sauna. The location was a bit odd. the front of the resort sits right right at a busy roundabout but once used to it, there was no problem getting to and from the underground carpark. the apartment was spacious and had everything we could ask for. Nice kitchen, washer, dryer in a separate utility area. Extra shower/toilet off the lounge. I would thoroughly recommend this resort and would return should I re-visit the area.
Cons: Lights on the stairs going down from our apartment was out the entire time we stayed and it was a nuisance but not too much of an inconvenience which was why we did not raise it with reception. That was it. No complains otherwise.
Location: Location is easy to get to just 30 minutes from Malaga airport along the A7. S lovely sandy beach is within easy walking reach.

Great stay

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Pros: The size of accommodation, there was plenty of room for all of us.
Location: The hotel is a little further out of Marbella town than we would have liked but should have looked into this more before we booked.
The service from staff was brilliant and they were more than happy to help with whatever we asked. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the accommodation as it was much bigger than expected although some areas of the hotel look a little dated or need some tidying up.

Fantastische Zimmer

Posted 19-Oct-2016
Wir hatten das große Apartment mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 3 Bädern - riesig viel Platz. Und ein TG-Parkplatz kostenlos dazu. Klasse. Pool i.O., sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, gerne wieder. Einziges Manko: eine Adresse, die ein Navi kennt, fehlt. Das ist dann etwas schwierig zu finden.

Perfect Superb, GREAT Place, every aspect on point, parking, room, pool, breakfast, even the guests were very mindful and civilized, location, on and on. From an American perspective it was not only good value but again every aspect was PERFECT. This will be the ONLY place I will stay at when in the Marbella Malaga area.

Excellent hotel.

Posted 14-Oct-2016
Location: The hotel is in an excellent position to visit all the attractions but we always hire a car, so do not know about public transport.
We loved our apartment. We were on the ground floor with our own private garden. We have stayed here on numerous occasion and it is always very good. The staff and very helpful and friendly. We felt that the food was not quite as good as in previous years. Also the apartment did not have bath robes this year but this did not stop us from having a fabulous time.

Great place to stay near beach and restaurants

Posted 13-Oct-2016
Pros: The lovely apartment
Cons: We were put off the restaurant & bar on the first evening by the waiters. Also we arrived early but our room was still not ready at 4.30p.m
Location: Plenty of good restaurants locally on beach and over the bridge 5-10 minutes walk away.
We have stayed at the Alanda before, but this time we were given a top floor one bedroom apartment which was very spacious and looked like it had been recently renovated. I loved because it was quiet and the balcony had sun on it all day long. Plenty of sunbeds round the pool, but some of the huge trees need cutting down quite a lot as it can be hard to find somewhere to sit in the sun at this time of year- a lot of the pool area is in the shade!

Nice spacious apartment with rooms well maintained and cleaned. Lift seemed to be on its last legs though and was regularly full of laundry, which meant on a few occasions we had to carry our baby and pram up the stairs. Outside swimming area is nice but for two days they were giving a deep clean of certain areas of the pool so you couldn't use it and had a nice background noise to put up with. Bar area was nice with good, friendly staff, in fact all staff were nice and friendly. Hotel is within walking distance of a couple of beaches (with beach-side restaurants) as well as fine dining, tapas, and ex-pat restaurants (Indian, Chinese, Thai etc). Most of the restaurants are over the highway, my recommendation is to turn left for the better food options (there's a nice square that attracts a good mix of locals and tourists), on the right is mainly ex-pat restaurants/bars.
