Stay at Amanda Club.

Posted 17-Jun-2017
The stay has not been as expected , The apartment given to us is not what is shown on the website, infact not changed even after a complaint made on the first day itself. Turns out the property allotted was not even owned by Alanda club marbella but rented from Marquo. For a 4 nights 5 days stay , they refused to replace towels , soaps and shampoos. The washer dryers were broken The air conditioner also does not cool enough at 18degrees leaving you sweating at night. They refused to give us towels even by the poolside. Overall i would never suggest or the recommendation the apartment to anyone. Today morning spoke to Manager by Intercom, but no satisfactory answer from them .. they don't care.

Stayed two extra days because we liked it so much!

Posted 09-Jun-2017
Pros: Desk staff (Jose in particular), entertainment, restaurant was good, location for day trips (last on, first off!), comfortable rooms.
Location: Day trips to Gibraltar and Morocco (take lots of sunscreen and dress in cool clothes for summer weather!)
We came for a wedding at another hotel in Marbella but wanted to stay in a different hotel than the bridal party (privacy and all!) We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. The room was reasonable and roomy with a grassy area right outside our back door. We didn't have time to lounge around there, but it would have been fantastic. The staff was super helpful and genuinely friendly, especially Jose at the front desk (does he work EVERY day? We were pleased whenever he was there). They arranged a number of day trips for us (Gibraltar, Tanger/Morocco, and "old town" Marbella). which was ideal since we had a somewhat flexible schedule and didn't want to move luggage between hotels more than necessary. So much to love about this hotel- Saturday night flamenco dancers with dinner. Lots of entertainment on some other days of the week. Lots of families that seemed to be content...didn't hear any crying children any time in five days! Quiet enough to stay on business travel if need be in the area. I can't say enough about this hotel!

Good hotel but not location

Posted 23-May-2017
Pros: Spacious rooms suitable for family of 4/5
Cons: Parking
Location: Lot of restaurants and stores for day to day needs.
Beach is 10 minute walk and its not a great beach to hang out. Lot of restaurants and stores close by but without a car it would be difficult to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Marbella.

Close to the beach

Posted 25-Apr-2017
Pros: The staff and their friendliness
Location: Nikki Beach Marbella old town
This hotel is nice. The staff are very friendly and try their best to assist you. There needs to be clearer information about how to get around. The menu could also do with upgrading - it is a boring. I love the idea of a indoor pool, especially when the weather outside is warm, but not warm enough to warrant a dip in the pool.

Nice hotel 5 mins walk from a lovely beach

Posted 08-Apr-2017
Pros: Good area, clean and great facilities.
Cons: Small shop on site.
Location: Good area. Supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants about 5 minutes away. Bus stops close by for buses to Marbella and Fuengirola and other places.
My husband and I stayed here for a short break. The Hotel is situated in a good area and there are supermarkets across the bridge. Also across the bridge is a lovely churreria called cafe del sol which serves the nicest coffee around and churros too. The Alanda Club is a bit out of the way from Marbella, but quieter and there are less people here, which we found more pleasant and peaceful. We went in April, so I don't know what it's like in the high season. Marbella is about 15 mins bus ride and Fuengirola about 30 mins from here. It would be perfect for families and people who do not like the craziness and built up nature of Fuengirola. It is a lot more upmarket than Fuengirola. We had a lovely relaxing stay here. Our apartment had everything we needed and a lovely corner terrace where you could have spent the whole time if you wanted. A beach walk 5 minutes away is lovely with many chiringuitos along the way where you can stop and have a coffee, beer or something to eat. Our stay here was everything we expected and more for 5 days of r and r.

Lovely hotel

Posted 21-Mar-2017
Pros: Cleanliness, lovely pools, plenty of sun beds and very nice apartments.
Cons: Staff knowledge about the area
Location: Good restaurants but not a great deal to do in the immediate area. Buses cheap to,neighbouring resorts.
The hotel is lovely and the apartment well set out with everything you need. The beds are really comfortable and the maids were in everyday. The one downside is that although there are lots of fantastic restaurants down on the beach there were few other amenities. Buses were very cheap and bus stops were close to the hotel to visit Marbella and Peurto Banus. Both had large markets and plenty to see. Some of the staff at the hotel didn't speak English so it was sometimes a struggle to get answers to any questions you had. I was very surprised when asking about restaurants in the nearby area of the hotel, how little the staff knew about them.....how to get to them and recommendations. Overall a lovely break.

Wifi issues

Posted 24-Nov-2016 on Hotels
The place was nice, nothing special. One issue was getting decent wifi. It was non existent unless you wanted to pay extra, that shouldn't be happening nowadays, especially in a resort like that.

Great place for a base in Andalusia

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: A great find on expedia. Not a huge complex like some over comercialised behemoth. Just right for a quiet, restful holiday. We were a family of five and did not actually spent a lot of time at the resort per se. We were out seeing the sights of beautiful Andalusia in the perfect weather but I'm sure the hotel will have everything for every type of travellers. There are indoor facilities which I am sure would have kept us busy should the weather be horrible. There were squash courts, gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi only thing I could not see was a steam room though there was a sauna. The location was a bit odd. the front of the resort sits right right at a busy roundabout but once used to it, there was no problem getting to and from the underground carpark. the apartment was spacious and had everything we could ask for. Nice kitchen, washer, dryer in a separate utility area. Extra shower/toilet off the lounge. I would thoroughly recommend this resort and would return should I re-visit the area.
Cons: Lights on the stairs going down from our apartment was out the entire time we stayed and it was a nuisance but not too much of an inconvenience which was why we did not raise it with reception. That was it. No complains otherwise.
Location: Location is easy to get to just 30 minutes from Malaga airport along the A7. S lovely sandy beach is within easy walking reach.
