This was a simple clean low cost apartment with plenty of room, a kettle, a small cleaning pack and a balcony with a fantastic view. Enjoyed my stay. Quiet due to time of year. Staff friendly. Pools looked great but didn't get to have a swim as only available from 10am and I was up and out early. Poolside bar and restaurant available at set times- didn't use this. Parking on site was 5 euros a night but safe to park outside on road so did that. Apartment very private with own patio and garden area to relax in. Quite spooky returning late at night as so quiet and no lights in apartment block. Free Wifi. Link to messaging service with Reception but none of my enquiries were ever answered so easier to just walk to reception and ask! Easy access to main road and short drive to nearest beach - beach in Manilva itself ( Dequesa) was excellent and nice and quiet too. You are stranded unless you have a vehicle. Pool was nice and sufficient amount of sun beds. Beautiful views of Spain and Gibraltar. Food was average. However the property could benefit with some maintenance. Our hallway to pur room was completely dark at night. Certain exterior areas had paint fading. It's located in a steep hill away shops and restaurants. From the map, the beach looks like a few minutes walk from the hotel, but because it's on a hill, the road is snaky and the walk back is a serious hike. We didn't know this so we had to use Uber every day which costed us a fortune. Apart from that, the apartment was good enough. Reading reviews about ants I bought spray on my first shop so it wasn't too bad a problem despite being ground floor. Lovely pool and lifeguard makes sure that people don't reserve and dont return so you can always get a chair whatever time of day. Spacious apartment with a modern look - had everything we needed. Lots of kids entertainment in evenings but it started too late for our kids! There is no bellhop or luggage roller. So be preprared to carry your luggage a long distance up and down steps to get to your room. The room key is required to turn on the lights to the room; this information was not conveyed but is common throughout Europe once you know. It also turns on or off the air conditioning. Our room in Ronda building was old with parts of the outside wall colibg off and the fridge was broken in many parts. The cleaning was terrible, next to the fridge there was huge amount of dust and left over food. At check in we were not provided with enough towels and bedsheet for 4 - after several calls we had to pick them up ourselves at reception. Staff is also mostly junior and hardly speak English. Footpaths outside the apartment blocks are very uneven. When we arrived the water was off but they didn't inform us so we only realised when we went to the room. We went back to reception & said we had no water & they just said "yes we have a problem with it" So why didn't they tell us 5 minutes prior when we checked in. After a 5 hour journey we needed to clean up before dining out with some friends so we asked them for a bottle of water to clean our teeth...to which they replied "you can buy some at our supermarket "!! No toaster in the apartment , we had to ask for one which was filthy and full of old bread crumbs. We also had to ask for clean towels upon which we were told by reception, it is not a hotel! it is self-catering and there is a laundry. The apartment was not serviced for the seven days that we stayed. Finally some of the staff were very unfriendly especially at the pool bar.
