Hotel is neat and clean. Breakfast buffet was awesome. There were few snacks packets in the tray in the room and we happily took while checking out but at the counter they said they all are chargeable and they took money from us for all the packets in-spite paying 11k for the room, so that was funny part. :) But overall nice hotel and nearby to madurai airport. Enjoyed our stay. Our driver lost his box from top of the car while he was asleep in drivers room, not sure about outside safety. They assured us to check all cameras and help driver.

I stayed at Amika many times and I have always enjoyed my stay there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and Chef Muthu made our dining experience (both breakfast and dinner) enjoyable. The rooms are large and comfy. As the hotel is very close to Madurai airport, it’s very convenient.

No airport shuttle

This is a very new, well maintained, excellent service hotel close to the airport. Because of its position, it is easy to access the airport for flights. However, in the descriptors it says ‘airport shuttle’ which is not true. They will call a taxi for you and it will cost the same as a taxi from town. The hotel is in the middle of no-where so you cannot get a taxi or rickshaw by standing on the street. So, if you want to stay in this hotel because of ease of access to the airport, be prepared to pay extra to get TO the airport. But the hotel itself is wonderful and the kitchen has good staff based on the breakfast spread and the room service we ordered.
