Too many vendors chasing too few tourists

If you're spending some time in East Bank, Luxor Museum and Luxor Temple are top sights worth seeing.

Nile River Luxor is popular for its ample dining options, and you might make a stop by Nile, a top place to visit in the area.

While there might not be top attractions in West Bank, you can explore the larger area and discover places like Luxor Temple and Mummification Museum.

While El Gezira isn't home to many top sights, Luxor Temple and Luxor Museum are some notable places to visit nearby.

Too many vendors chasing too few tourists
Luxor is a developing town/city where you can get harassed by the locals & businesses who are always attempting to force a sale. I wouldn't stay here again but do think its t perfect location to begin your adventure into the history of ancient Egypt.
Always check the price of taxi and Kalesh rides first. Agree that you are paying in Egyptian Pounds. Expect the unexpected and always carry lots of small change because no one ever seems to have any.
Highly recommend The Lantern Room Restaurant.
Luxor is amazing for the sheer quantity of ancient monuments. There is, however, far too much group tourism which leads to overcrowding at some popular sites. This is a place to do as an independent traveller. Many of the hotels seem to be run down.
Great place, but spoilt by the constant harassment by street vendors. Very unpleasant.
