Very nice comfortable hotel close to Grotto

I like the hotel very much, it was comfortable and staff was friendly. I gave all 4 because it was good though I had a bad experience. I booked triple room for 3 people- 3 beds saw the pictures of triple room liked it. First day they gave us a room in old block 3 single beds together and everything was dated including toilet. Our moods were bad. Next day we asked what happened to the room we saw and booked online. Manager said they had a large group and our room was given. Which was not acceptable as we booked 4 weeks in advance. He offered us a double bed room and added another bed. We took it to escape old room. Otherwise did not want a double bed to share! That was in new block and very roomy and good decor and modern bathroom with tea coffee and mini fridge facilities. We were glad to get out of old room and did not ask for discount or compensation ruining our first day at Lourdes. I do not want to give a poor rating for a nice hotel. But they should not do this to others travellers. We go through internet checking so many rooms to get the best that suit us.

Close to Santuary

Its a very small room that i they gave me and the washroom area (including toilet) is the smallest i have seen in my life's 10 years of travel.

Very close to Grotto and St Joseph's gate

Pros: Very close to Our Lady's Grotto, about 2 minutes.
Cons: Staff to be more lingual
Location: Good location and plenty of restaurants near by. and a good cafe adjacent to hotel.
Except the reception staff and one other member of staff in the dining area cannot speak or understand English. The bed room for two is narrow. Clean towels daily. Breakfast is simple and plenty but lunch and Dinner is buffet but would not recommend it. it is also expensive. There are many decent restaurant near-by.

Nice hotel

This is a nice hotel within walking distance to the Grotto. Our family of four was accommodated in two rooms connected with a door (really nice). The front desk was really helpful! We arrived early in the morning, way before the scheduled check-in time and we were graciously accommodated in our rooms for no extra charge! The bathroom was clean but the fittings were a bit old. The elevator was too small for our family and baggage, so we made multiple trips. Nice neighborhood with Cafes right outside the hotel. From the room, we had a nice view of the Pyrnees mountains. Overall, a nice experience in Lourdes.

Great Location

Pros: Location and Staff very Pleasant
Location: Close to the Grotto, could see the Entrance at the of the Road. The Centro is better for Food.
The hotel is clean, rooms are small but all are in Lourdes(Tarbes). Staff were helpful and very close to the Grotto and the Centre. Great Location

No AC in the rooms

Pros: Closeness to the shrine
they did not advertise that they did not have air-conditioning in the room. We bake in in for the first night, in spite of leaving the windows open. Then with the windows open, the noise from the street was very loud till after 2:00 am. The whole family did not sleep that night. The next day after I complained, they gave us fans. Internet connection is weak, food at the hotel pricey.

Inexpensive Hotel near the Grotto

Pros: I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was nice and accommodating. the room was big and clean. the bathroom was ok. and the hotel itself was clean.
Location: The location was very close to the Grotto. the shops, restaurants and mini market were just a few steps away.
I booked this hotel bacause of several reasons: Proximity to the Grotto; star rating; customer ratings; price. I was not disappointed. I will stay here again.

Nasty rooms with a very rude staff attitude

They first tried to give us a nasty old smelling room. When we objected they transferred us to a better room. I had to talk to the manager , and even after that, he did not care. The staff was rude and very unhelpful. The manager basically shrugged his shoulders and didn't care. I threatened to write a bad review of the hotel and staff and reminded him of their written principles behind the reception. I left then was followed by a staff member who offered me a different room to look at. The arrogant manager never apologized for his rudeness and behavior. What really strikes me, is if you have better rooms, why offer the worst then switch us when we complain?
