"A lovely hotel with a lively bar and restaurant. Rooms was small and the shower smaller but as a one night stop off, adequate. Superb ales and great food offering. All staff were lovely"

We wanted to visit Alnwick Castle and Garden so chose Castlegate Hotel because of its proximity to this fabulous visitor attraction. We were welcomed by the owner and shown to a large twin bedded room with beautiful colour co-ordinated soft furnishing. Great hotel inn Alnwick town centre, due to roadworks we arrived quite late but the minute we waked through the door we were greeted by the very friendly manager who found us a table and ordered us food. The food was great, the staff were excelent and all in all we had a great stay and hope to be booking again very soon

This is a nice central location in Morpeth with improving facilities and accommodation. I stayed in a room yet to receive the upgrade work - nonetheless the room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel was great, they allowed me to mince around the premises wearing my arseless leather chaps and nipple clamps during the day and my yellow hot pants in the evening.
