Nice hotel but lacking amenities
Staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is typical of Renaissance standards. However while the rooms are perfectly pleasant, the doors are small (and I am a very tiny person) so getting in/out with luggage is a bit fiddly. Same goes for the bathroom, it was more complicated than necessary just to get a towel (open door, step inside, close door, get towel, step back to open door to get out). Also, surprised that rooms were not stocked with basics like toiletries/slippers, but it's easy enough to call for them.
Note: there are free buses that get to and from the hotel / Heathrow bus station if you don't have much luggage or aren't in a rush, otherwise the more direct buses go for about 5pounds.
