Great place to stay near Heathrow

We stayed one night at Renaissance prior to our flight from Heathrow back home. It was a great choice, a nice place to rest and recover before our flight.

Very good hotel, close to the airport.

Though my stay was short, I liked the hotel and the facilities. The room was very clean and service was prompt and courteous. Perhaps they should provide free shuttle to the airport as a complimentary service. I will definitely return, and will also recommend to others.

Lovely newly remodeled room

This was an overnight stay between a flight from Athens (arriving about 9:45 pm) and leaving next morning at 10 am to Vancouver, BC. The newly remodeled room was very comfortable and clean. I took the Hoppa bus from Terminal 5 to get there and another one the next morning to Terminal 2. The ride from Terminal 5 was 20 plus minutes. The ride to terminal 2 is shorter about 10 minutes. Would stay again.

watch for extra fees!!

Cons: Being open and honest about fees and extra costs
You get 20 minutes of free parking to check in, but it is not shown or mentioned unless you complain (assuming you can get checked in within 20 mins). The parking ticket didn't work, told me to pay (enough though I was within the 20 mins), and I had to line up and wait again to get a new ticket printed to get out of the car park). After buying drinks at the bar and sitting at a table, a waiter asked if we wanted more drinks. We said yes and when he brought them asked for our room number to add it to our bill, I told him we wanted to pay cash and he looked disappointed. When he brought the bill, I saw why. We were charged a service fee for him bringing 2 drinks 4 yards. I assume if it was charged to the room, I wouldn't have seen the service fee!

Nice hotel but lacking amenities

Pros: Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is typical of Renaissance standards. However while the rooms are perfectly pleasant, the doors are small (and I am a very tiny person) so getting in/out with luggage is a bit fiddly. Same goes for the bathroom, it was more complicated than necessary just to get a towel (open door, step inside, close door, get towel, step back to open door to get out). Also, surprised that rooms were not stocked with basics like toiletries/slippers, but it's easy enough to call for them. Note: there are free buses that get to and from the hotel / Heathrow bus station if you don't have much luggage or aren't in a rush, otherwise the more direct buses go for about 5pounds.

Nice hotel close to airport

We were at this hotel only one night before returning to USA. One concern is that we were double billed on our charge card account. As of 20 September 2016 there is still an invalid charge of $198.85 pending on our account. also my wife disliked the cole slaw served with her meal and did not eat it.

Very convenient to Heathrow Airport

Cons: The number of staff at Reception for check-in late in the evening
Good hotel to overnight in London just changing planes. Check in at 11.30pm was a bit slow. Room very comfortable. Breakfast restaurant staff were excellent. Very helpful and courteous.made us very welcome. Would stay there again
