The staff were great, the rooms were clean and modern, but they are the only positives, don’t really know how it’s a four star hotel? The car park is 100m walk behind the building and doesn’t feel secure in the slightest, I hope building was wrapped in scaffolding, not that this matters because the windows are frosted so you cannot see out of them, but more importantly you have to leave a £50 deposit, as a business traveller who stays in two hotels a week across the UK and Europe, this is the only time this has ever been demanded. Shocking really.

The room was nice, with a good view and most of the amenities we expected. However, the housekeeping service was disappointing. Our room was missed entirely on the first day, and the cleaning on the following day was still poor. The dirty bedding was simply covered up rather than changed, and the floor wasn’t vacuumed. Even more frustratingly, our reusable metal straw, which we had left on the coffee cup, was taken by the cleaning team. Overall, the room itself was pleasant, but the standard of housekeeping needs significant improvement.
