"I paid extra for a suite overlooking the sea and it was well worth it. The welcome it gave was breathtaking. The room was among the best I've ever experienced being spacious and of top quality materials. A nice touch was the screen between the bath and the living room/balcony view which was clear or opaque at the flick of a switch meaning you could have a beautiful sea view from your bath. My food was excellent, but my wife's breakfast and evening meal was a little plain, ie just cooked straight, no sauces, seasoning or anything. If they had a chef, this place would be 10 stars."

"The check in was easy, lady graciously let us check in a little earlier. Suite was big, clean and bright. The kitchenette area was a big plus, as was the free parking. A short stroll down the hill to the beach and town, and both were lovely. The hotel was lovely, a little tired in areas though. For instance, brambles overgrowing the paths, the pool which is a great touch, felt dirty and had an odour, im not an expert, but felt it needed filtering and a deep clean. To be fair though the positives far out weigh the negatives and it felt like the owners are doing it up, on a constant cycle, which is good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it and return no problem."

"Absolutely wonderful week stay at this beautiful hotel. Spa was a treat. Staff were delightful. So very helpful, friendly and made us feel right at home. Loved our time there. This converted manor house was right up our street as we love wandering around stately homes."
