"The 2 female receptionists were warm friendly welcoming and professional and the hostess at breakfast was so very helpful smiley and thorough. Yes the decor is old fashioned tired but the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious the bed was very comfortable and the location is perfect with cheaper onsite parking. "

"Stayed here many times and always a lovely time and lovely breakfast but on this occasion 28/03/26 breakfast wasn't nice and bacon was so hard you could knock someone out with it when my mum ask for fresh bacon the waitress said well the bacon was fresh this morning and its all gone my mum went back and asked 10 mins later and asked if the bacon was ready the waitress said its cooking with an attitude this waitress need retraining in customer service as there is a certain way to speak and thats not it"

"Our rooms had a lovely ( unexpected) sea view but as I found out on arrival, most if not all rooms, (other than accessibility/disability rooms) have a shower over the bath, so it wasn’t ideal for my 84yr old mother who doesn’t require an accessible room as she doesn’t have any disabilities or restrictions per se but can’t climb into the bath to take a shower. It is very unusual for a hotel these days to have baths in every room but the hotel was fully booked for a conference so unfortunately there was no option to change rooms to an accessible room for her. The restaurant was closed for a function the night we arrived, This was a Monday night in a small seaside town at the beginning of March so I wasn’t hopeful - but we found 3 great places to eat within a few mins walk. A really lovely seaside cafe/restaurant, an Indian and an American/Mexican type restaurant. The hotel was clean, staff were lovely and it was ideal for our stay. Don’t be put off by the 1970’s exterior. We didn’t go further than the seafront so not sure about a ‘town’ but there are retail parks nearby. "

"Really tired looking hotel with TV not working well and the worst was the water pressure in the shower — It literally dribbled out and was nearly impossible to wash the soap off and get clean. Very disappointed."

"Nice hotel close to centre of the city. Staff friendly & helpful. We stayed in a room in the annexe which was spacious, however the floor particularly in the bathroom was springy & made a loud squeaking noise. The bed was also very hard & had difficulty sleeping on it. Breakfast was excellent. "
