"The hotel is quiet with extensive areas for guests. The Leisure suite is excellent with sauna, steam room and a spacious, well equipped gym. Breakfast has lots of choice although the options have definitely been reduced since we were last there 6-8 years ago. Parking is plentiful and the views across the valley are beautiful. The hotel is a substantial building and in places it's becoming a bit tired. However, we slept extremely well without any noise or disturbance. The limited staff are extremely hard working and deserve praise for multi-tasking. It's an easy walk into town"

"Hay-on-wye is a special place and the Swan Hotel is a great place to stay, especially if you have a dog. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back."
