About $35 compared to $50 valet for hotel. Hotel is tall and thin- very unique and intimate experience. Charming designs and decor. Coffee bar that serves goodies was closing upon our arrival (hours are around 6am to 4pm). Very small lounge- again, intimate, serving alcohol- no candy, lol (called the Candy Bar). Dark and cozy, very friendly staff all around. Check in was super easy and quick and they answer all questions well. Security is nice- can only access the floor you are staying on and main floor. Pool access is tricky- it's a shared agreement with the Y across the street and the pool closed at 4 or 5 the day we checked in and didn't reopen until the next morning for about two hours before checkout. So just keep that in mind if you have kids who want to use the pool- the hours and the fact that it's not in the same building. Room we had was double bed- small room with a really cool bathroom that was half the size of the room! The shower layout, design and decoration was unique and very cool. The windows overlook the city architecture and lights- very cool city experience. The food lounge- Chenin, is very small also- about the size of a large supply closet! But super cute and cozy, giving a truly intimate experience to the patrons. Everyone was very friendly and it is a very nice experience overall! Cozy and hip!" The fitness center was well equiped for a hotel gym. Our bed was quite noisy- anytime you sat on it it would make a ton of noise. The location of the hotel is fantastic for events at Ford field/Comerica park. There are nightclubs surrounding the hotel so music can be heard within hotel rooms until about 2am, so if you need quiet to sleep I suggest bringing ear plugs or finding somewhere else. The parking lot is not owned by the hotel so valet parking is mandatory and $55 on top of the price of the room so take that into consideration when booking. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location was great for the event we were attending! I do think the room was a bit overpriced, but you are truly paying for the central location of it. My husband and I stay downtown often for concerts and games, usually in a hotel, as we're hesitant to rent condos due to concerns over cleanliness, noise, parking, etc. but when we saw Sean's condo we decided this was one we wanted to try. From the second we secured our booking to the time we checked out, every aspect of our experience was perfect. Sean was wonderful with communications and was incredibly quick to answer every question we had. Check-in instructions were complete, detailed and hassle-free. We fell in love as soon as we stepped in the door. Sean made sure there was no stone left unturned when outfitting this GORGEOUS space. Every detail in this condo pays homage to the city of Detroit. You can spend quite a bit of time just looking at the Detroit themed decor and artwork, the knick knacks on the shelves, the multiple books covering all things Detroit...it's obvious there was much thought put into curating the space and it made my heart smile because I love the city of Detroit. Not only is the space beautiful, it is in a great location. Tucked away on a side street just off Woodward keeps the condo quiet and shielded from noise but still convenient to get to restaurants, bars, stadiums and more. There is a bar/restaurant next door (Second Best) but we were never bothered by noise of any kind. We will absolutely be returning to this condo again!"
