Everything was excellent except the quality of the hairdryers and where they were placed on the wall and short cord and no nearby mirror - bizarre for such a great place

We were so pleased we chose this hotel - more expensive than our usual price bracket, but a great place to just be as well as to tour the beautiful Connemara. We spent four nights, three days here: one day chilling, one day driving the Sky Road, one day visiting Kylemore Abbey. The people - owners and staff - could not have been more kind and helpful. The dinners were excellent, up to first class international standard, and breakfasts (in our room, for an extra charge) stoked us up well for a...

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, and this continued throughout our stay - the reception and restaurant staff are excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious, many arranged around a courtyard garden and with mountain views.
We ate in the restaurant every night and found it to be excellent, with a varied menu. Other reviews are critical, but I'd take those with a pinch of salt. Sample menus are available on the website.

Just got back from 3 nights at the Clifden Station House, the hotel is modern and the facilities are all very good. We used the pool every day and it was warm enough for my two year old daughter, the rooms were clean and the hotel food very good especially the breakfast. It's location is very good and there is ample on site parking. The difference between this and the vast majority of hotels I have stayed in is the staff, they are so helpful from small things to make your stay more enjoyable...

The one thing I would say is there is no lift. My other half had broken his foot and had a terrible time hopping up and down two flights . Other than that it was terrific.

This is a really good hotel if you want a quiet location with a great view and want to relax.
Set on a remote coastal road, with its own beach surrounded by farmland with cows and horses
The hotel has a variety of rooms, but we liked the Premier Deluxe room which is exclusively for adilts and has ocean views, a wet room shower, self standing bath and a bedroom on a mezanine floor.
The hotel provides 2 padel courts, tennis, spa treatments, water acrivities and has 2 sauna huts at its own beach....

Our room on the 2nd floor was quiet. Cozy even though it was spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Down at the far end of the hall, we didn't get consistent wifi signals, but that was a nice break from the digital world too. This was the best place we stayed in during our 8 days in Ireland and we'd definitely come back here.
