Visit this white-sand beach for tanning, spas and windsurfing lessons in one of the most treasured attractions of the popular holiday location, Costa Teguise. 

Relax by the sea at Las Cucharas Beach, a favourite among holiday makers and professional windsurfers alike. This Lanzarote shoreline makes up one of the main attractions of Costa Teguise, a tourist area with extravagant resorts and health spas. Swim in the blue-green waters, take windsurfing lessons or simply enjoy the beach's soothing atmosphere.

The beach itself is pristine, friendly to families and surrounded by enchanting views. Bring a towel and enhance your tan during lazy mornings. Rent hammocks, sunshades and deck-chairs along the promenade.

Visit early to secure a prime spot on the sands. Although the beach is 2,100 feet (640 metres) long and offers lots of space, summer crowds tend to fill up the best spots very quickly.

The temperate waters are popular with swimmers and divers. On windy days, look for windsurfers skimming the water's surface or lifting with the air currents out to sea. These ideal conditions allow Las Cucharas Beach to host international windsurfing competitions every year. If you’re adventurous, learn this thrilling skill at local windsurfing schools, which offer hands-on training and guidance.

After a swim, walk the beachfront promenade and admire an architectural garden. The layout, which features tropical palms and picturesque patches of flowers, embodies a motif common in Lanzarote: creating art with nature.

Costa Teguise offers a number of relaxation or entertainment attractions within walking distance of the beach. Pamper yourself at a health spa or work on your swing at the local golf course. Slip and slide at the Costa Teguise water park or enjoy the quiet coastline of Jablilo Beach.

Be sure to visit Pueblo Marinero Fishing Village, a cluster of intriguing buildings. Go to the Friday night market. In the evenings, sit at a fine dining restaurant along the Las Cucharas promenade and enjoy the seaside views.

Property is lovely, beds are comfy although pillows are not. TV did not have any English Channels, only Spanish and lots of German. The pool area is nice although there is no refreshment bar which would have been nice. Not much in the area, dining and shops is very limited.

The Location is placed very near to all amenities although if you didn’t know the area, it would not instantly seem so and you have to walk around the perimeter of the complex to get to the main street as there is no gate cut-through. For expediency I have bullet pointed the positives and the negatives and score at the end. Negatives; • No Washing machine. • Very basic cooking facilities i.e. Microwave & Electric Hob. • No broom or dustpan and brush or pegs to hang washing. • No iron without payment. • No water in fridge or any complimentary coffee/tea on arrival in apartment. • No pool towels, additional door key for each occupier, Room Safe access, Air con/ TV remote without payment or deposit and must be in cash. • TV is basic and had cobwebs behind. Unable to plug i.e. a fire stick in as only one socket for the TV. • Poor or no night entertainment. • No communal feel around bar area. • Towels not all changed. Positives; • Has three pools & play areas for kids if you have them. • Has a little shop in complex for fresh bread, milk, drinks and the other basics. • Reception open 24/7 • Astro turf 5- a- side Football pitch and Tennis court. • Gym/Indoor Pool & Sauna although not really used by anyone while we were there. • New Aldi supermarket about 10 minute walks away. • Comfortable apartment for short stay only. Air con in bedroom only. • Comfortable beds. Compare to other surrounding apartments we have stayed in before in this area, it’s quite poor. 6/10
