Pros: The staff, the location, the quietness, the food
Cons: Put baths in each room
Location: Didn't get a chance to find much - there was a beautiful lake about a mile away to walk around.
When I arrived the reception staff were so friendly and helpful it was very refreshing. I got a table booked in the restaurant and, again, the staff there went out of their way to assist me and make my stay comfortable. Only thing that I didn't like was the room had a shower instead of a bath, but this is a small matter

Room clean and tidy. Facilities generally very good.Food in restaurant good but not cheap. Health club good but disappointed Jacuzzi not working. Also disappointed that I booked a double for my wife and I and got a twin both nights. Also disappointed that as an IHG member my stay doesn't earn points because I booked it through Expedia. Overall thought service at hotel was very good and would stay again.

Very good hotel, staff very good, disappointed with evening meal curry, rice cold. And. Lumpy, sauce like paste , not fluid enough. My wife did enjoy her meal though, slight hicup in the kitchen

In need of refurbishment

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, restaurant staff realised that we were unhappy about breakfast service before we had even said anything.
Location: Opposite a major UK tax office , nothing else in the area.
Allocated a room on the second floor at the furthest point from restaurant and reception, despite the hotel not appearing fully occupied. When enquired about this was told that "your room has been refurbished"- this did not appear to be the case.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years but not for a few years - nothing has changed in many years and it shows - public areas (particularly corridors and reception toilets) are very tired and dated and really in need of some tlc. room was clean and had some features modernised (tv) and bathroom had clearly been done in our room but bath removed and only a shower. In room hairdryer is still the original and it packed up as I started to dry my hair - reception/housekeeping then took over 30 mins to find a "spare" and bring it to me making me late for an appointment (i could hardly go with wet hair). We stayed for 2 nights and did not see housekeeping but they did make up our room to a good standard - however despite there being 2 of us only replaced 1 set of towels so getting a 2nd bath towel meant another call to reception and another wait. Members of housekeeping were seen by us in the corridor (it was very long) - we were in room 46 which is a long walk down the corridiors and as far away from reception as you can get - and they were rude and surly - we had several fire doors to go through to get to reception - on 1 occasion a housekeeper pushed the door closed on us - on another one coming the other way stopped and waited for me to open the door for her - this is not good customer service - we were leaving at that time and I was pulling a trolley case and she was carrying a few towels!!!! The breakfast was a complete disappointment - the worst

Pros: Het goede wat wij vonden : Goede bedden, goede hotelkamer, en het restaurant was ook in orde.

Wij zijn 2 nachten geweest in dit hotel. Op zich geen verkeerd hotel. Echter zijn enkele dingen voor verbetering vatbaar. Zo kun je geen Schotse ponden krijgen in het hotel zelf. Omruilen van Euro `s naar ponden is niet mogelijk. Ook pinnen van schotse ponden via een pinpas is ook niet mogelijk. Het enige wat wel kan is een creditcard. Aangezien wij cash schotse ponden nodig hadden voor een taxi naar het vliegveld van Glasgow, kon ik 15 minuten lopen naar de dichtstbijzijnde pinautomaat bij een grote supermarkt. Al met al vond ik dit zeer teleurstellend. Je moet toch met een pinpas of cash geld af kunnen rekenen in een hotel. Ook vroegen wij naar het zwembad, en als antwoord kregen wij : Dan moet je de straat uitlopen, en je hotelkaart laten zien. Wij dachten dat het in het hotel zat, maar bleek verderop te zijn. We hebben het nu ook maar niet meer gecheckt. Hotel ligt ook in een uithoek, en ligt toch wel ver buiten het centrum van Glasgow. Maar aan dit punt kunnen ze natuurlijk niks doen.
