Beautiful home, beautiful location
We had a lovely stay! Comfortable beds, lovely cozy decor, great kitchen and dining area and cozy and comfortable living room. We had a great ladies weekend and look forward to returning next year.

Serene views and comfy stay!
This place was perfect for our sister reunion! The house is lovely with many spots to be social as well as sneak away and read a book. The view was my favorite, I couldn't get enough! It was the perfect place, we didn't want to leave!

Perfect girls weekend!
6 of us convened for a relaxing girls weekend and couldn’t be happier with Cathy’s house! Perfect access to the water which was a beautiful, peaceful spot for a paddle. Next time we need to stay longer!

Perfect little lake getaway
What a peaceful and serene spot to relax! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and in the living room just absorbing the beauty around us. Kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking family meals. I took my grandparents with me, and there's a bedroom and (not ADA) bathroom on the first floor which was convenient for them. The rooms upstairs were comfortable and lovely! I couldn't spot a heater upstairs, in case you run cold, but the living room fireplace was very nice on cooler evenings.

Our favorite place to stay
This home has the most beautiful view imaginable and the charms of a lovingly updated older home. Our group has visited several times and we will be back again. The property owner is quick to answer inquiries and we love that she shares her wonderful home.

Extraordinary house in a quiet, serene setting
This lovely home, with its incredible view and quiet setting, was the perfect fit for our family of five to enjoy a few days of spring break vacation. Spring weather in the Puget Sound is mercurial, but we got lucky with three clear, albeit chilly, days to enjoy kayaking the bay and watching seals, bald eagles, and other wildlife. We would not hesitate to return.

This is a beautiful home at a beautiful location on the water. This fit our group of 4 adults and 2 children perfectly. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and more. This house was one of our favorite rentals as we could enjoy water views from multiple rooms. I hope to be able to visit again!

Could not have been better. 1.5 miles from my sister’s wedding at Longbranch Improvement Club. Watched stunning sunrise from kyacks. Enjoyed boche ball on crushed oyster court. Lovely rooms, furnishings, perfect!

I am in love with this property! I can't wait to return. The attention to detail at the Beach House is above and beyond. Everything you need is there - if not, one call to Cathy and your needs are met, she is awesome. As we were packing up - all I think about was can I stay one more day and when can I book another stay!! Dianne, you are the best guest ever. I must share with others who read my response that at this point we regard each other as co-owners of this beach house, to the extent that you have begun adding amenities such as a cocktail shaker, serving dishes, and very chic martini glasses. Until the next time and really, we must have a cup of coffee or drink sometime in Seattle!

Beautiful setting on Puget Sound
We had a wondeful time at this lovely house with simply outstanding views of southern Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. The wildlife in the area was amazing - lots of bald eagles, seals and even otters lounging on the floating dock. Rear deck and multiple levels in the tiered backyard made for some excellent times for our family.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely scenic and quiet place. We cooked all meals in and the kitchen was well enough equipped for what we needed. The last day some of us got up early enough to see an amazingly beautiful sunrise.

I love this Beach House; from the moment you enter you will never stop smiling and wondering how you got so lucky to find it! I make my yearly vacation plans around staying here. The property is stunning and is completely outfitted for the perfect get away-just bring yourself and everything else is provided to maximize your stay. From the linens to the kitchen no detail is overlooked - providing an exceptional luxury get away. Then you go down to the beach and there are kayaks, a fire pit, and Adirondack chairs-bring a picnic! There is so much to do. We love cooking in the fabulous kitchen, the inlet is perfect for kayaking even in the rain, and there are games to play! Cathy is responsive and genuinely wants you to have the best experience. Even though we had rainy days we NEVER left the property (except to kayak)– it’s just too beautiful😊 Thanks Cathy! All the best until next time-Dianne

a Wonderful family getaway

Perfect vacation home
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cathy’s beach house. Somehow the house is both light and airy and warm and cozy. The furnishings are gorgeous and comfortable, the layout is great for families, and the place was spotless. The deck is the perfect place to sit and watch the seals and bald eagles…and trust me, the view across the Sound to Mt. Rainier is even better in person. We enjoyed the bocce and badminton, kayaking (there are four kayaks, easily launched from the beach or the dock), and helping ourselves to the enormous oysters on our beach. Cathy has thought of everything, from setting out bocce balls to filling the firepit with wood. And we loved the cozy fireplace—push a button on the remote and you have an instant fire and heat. The only negative is that Cathy won’t sell me the house. :-) Thank you so much for the perfect family getaway!!

The views from every room of this house are spectacular. Between that, the cute cozy decor and comfy beds, we all had a relaxing fun stay. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The host was responsive. Would recommend.

Peaceful, Sound, Experience
This is a historic home that has been lovingly decorated and cared for. The location is right on the water with a view of the islands in the sound and Mt. Rainier in the background. The back yard has a Bocce-ball court, flowering trees and a grassy path to the beach and dock. The kyaks are right next to the fire pit. We stayed busy with a Bocce-ball tournament, board games, reading, kayaking, jigsaw puzzles and eating at the large wood table. The bedrooms are whitewashed and the beds are comfortable with soft sheets and cozy quilts. Everything is immaculate, tastefully decorated and very well stocked! There is even a 'hidden' tiny room, next to the library, for the grandkids to discover. We will definitely be back.

What a great experience! Amazing house, amazing property, amazing view! We loved everything about it - including the neighbors. House was well-stocked, more than we expected - very clean and wonderfully decorated! Super cozy, comfy beds and furniture. We enjoyed kayaking and make bonfires. Cathy was very responsive to us and our needs - even made sure the direct TV was fixed seconds before our arrival. We can’t wait to go back next year! The seals and eagles were a definite plus!! Love this spot for family vacation! We were lucky enough to sit on the deck and gaze at a snow-covered Mt Rainier during happy hour on our first night there. 5 stars all around!!!

Perfect family getaway in serene setttjng
Cathys home is immaculate, cozy and tastefully decorated. We especially loved the kitchen and living space- with older grandparents and young children, spent lots of time indoors just hanging out. We loved everything about this property! The view was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoying kayaking with the seals, and looking for unique shells on the beach. We also had fun playing with the crabs on the beach during low tide. I highly recommend this property!

My happy place! Peaceful, beautiful and special!
I will forever return to this property every year! It is the best Pacific Northwest experience. From the beach house to the kayaking you get to live in paradise. This is our second summer here and we will be returning next year (maybe again this year-I feel like I want to experience the winter:)). Every detail from the interior design to the kitchen accessories is perfect-everything you need is here. The beds are so comfortable that even when the sun wakes you up your inclined to stay put and just breath-in the salt water and feel the breeze. I enjoy communicating (seems more like visiting) with Cathy - she is as excited to share as we are to receive! Her attention to detail is exceptional and she has created the most comfortable environment that speaks BEACH HOUSE:) Thank you so much Cathy! Dianne

Absolutely wonderful!
I stayed with my family and parents at this magnificent home that just blew us away with the setting, the views, the wildlife and the comfort and decor of the home. We felt so so lucky to be there and spent the week talking about the changing tides, admiring our surroundings and playing in the water. It felt like we were staying in the home of a friend, not a rental and Cathy is so generous to open her cozy welcoming space to strangers like us. Can’t WAIT to come back!!

Fantastic for a getaway by the water
Cathy's place is fantastic. It's spacious, comfortable, and has a beautiful view of the water. The kitchen was great as we did cooked each night. The living areas were perfect for our small children to spread out with their toys. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay again.

Quiet, cozy get away with a view!
Our family of four enjoyed three nights and two days in this beautiful home. We had enough room to spread out when we needed alone time. The dining room table is large and gave us plenty of space to play games. The fire place was a pleasant bonus to take the chill. The beds were comfortable and we loved the decor and view. We visited in the middle of winter and were thankful to have a quiet, cozy home to be in.

Relaxing stay at a wonderful property!
This house and property is at the top of our list of vacation rentals and we’ve stayed at many vacation rentals all over the world. Being directly on Filucy Bay in the Sound, with a fantastic view of Mt. Rainier, would be enough to give it a 5 star rating.!! The house however was also first- rate. It was charmingly decorates impeccably furnished, very well supplied, and extremely clean and comfortable. Nice touches were kayaks, a bocce ball court, and a fire pit on the beach! The owner was extremely responsive while being very respectful of our privacy. She also provided all the information we needed prior to and during our visit. I am already trying to find a time to return! Thanks Cathy for a fabulous stay!!!

Our celebration get a way stay
This was a top notch property. Full of ambiance. Beautiful inside and out. Quaint cape cod completely renovated but keeping the charm of the 1939 structure. Everything you see posted in the pictures is right on. Our family thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of our stay.

Amazing and Peaceful Stay
Our experience at Cathy’s house was beyond expectations. Not only was Cathy such a great and responsive host, but we got to the house with all the instructions and the perception as described on the house details. Little did we know that it would surpass our expectations. The house is super clean and beautiful. The views are out of this world, even on a cloudy day, and just the vibe of being around nature and birds chirping gets anyone in a great mood. I will definitely be back here in the fall and until then, i will remember the memories and think of some great times we had this weekend!

Beautiful home!
Charming home with everything that you need! We were lucky to stay on a sunny weekend and got clear views of mt rainier. Cathy was super communicative. Great place to spend with family during Mother’s Day. We saw deers, seals, collected oysters and went kayaking (kayaks provided). One thing to be mindful of is that you are wedged between two neighbors and that there are beach front boundaries.

A beautiful weekend getaway

There were six of us. An annual ladies weekend. We loved the place, the setting, the beach, the house and the quick response from the owner when we had a question. For the first time in years we all agreed that this will be our place next year too. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Lovely adventure
We took our first real family trip here and it was beyond our expectations. As we took our first steps out of the car, we immediately noticed how incredibly quiet/serene it was. We didn’t really hear a neighbor or a car the entire week so it was very easy to relax. The view of the mountain was extraordinary. The house was spacious, clean, and beautiful. It’s truely a wonderful place. The kitchen is extra gorgeous, as well the upstairs bathroom with a large modern soaker tub. Very much appreciated the tea-kettle; that was a very nice extra touch. We took full advantage of the awesome deck/grill area that overlooks the water. We also very much enjoyed using the kayaks and the firepit. I loved the way the house was decorated, tastefully merging the old with the new, perfectly capturing the spirit of seaside Washington. We also liked that this location was central for us since it was 90 mins to Olympic National, 90 mins to Seattle, and 90 mins to a wedding we attended. Not only did us adults love this place but our two teenagers did as well! It was an unforgettable trip and we are so glad that we picked this property. Highly highly recommend!

Beautiful property, private, deer, eagle, birds, fruit trees, coyotes, snow covered mountains, beach, campfires, oysters, clams, seals, porpoises, snow covered mountain, kayaking, fishing, fall foliage, a stunning view from every room, comfortable bedding, gas fireplace, gas grill, the most perfect galley kitchen for those, like me, who LOVE to cook,, washer/dryer in basement with the most beautiful view (I sat on the exercise bike down there and rode while clothes washed, staring at the bay and mountain), dishwasher (but take it from me and WASH those dishes by hand for the view), fantastic local supermarket 16 miles away has EVERYTHING you could possibly need or want with EXCELLENT prices. This was our first time visiting the pacific northwest. While our main goals were to visit Mt. St. Helen, Cape Disappointment, Cape Flattery and Mt. Rainier, which we did, I had no idea I would experience so much more. This was indeed a vacation of firsts for us. So much more than expected. We did drive 3 to 4 hours to and from to those locations we had our hearts set on, but driving to and from was not bad at all. Speed limit there is 60 miles per hour on most interstates. Once exiting onto more scenic roads, the speed limit dropped, obviously, which accounts for time spent driving to and from, BUT WELL WORTH IT! If you venture out to Gig Harbor, eat at Tide's Tavern. Vegan burger was OUTSTANDING. Kids loved their clam chowder and salmon burger as well! We were not able to go whale watching like we had originally planned, due to time and weather, but Port Townsend is only an hour and a half away, so very doable in a day. Although weather is hit and miss in Washington, it is still beautiful. Rain seems to come and go like the wind there, which accounts for the lush forests and gardens I saw. I love country life and this place is set in an area that boasts so many beautiful farms, farm animals and gardens. It was so me and so beautiful. If you enjoy the simple life and appreciate the beauty in everything around you, you'll definitely enjoy staying here. DO NOT make the mistake and sleep in or you'll miss magnificent sunrises! Sunrises and Sunsets are magnificent from that deck! Cathy was more than accommodating and was back in contact with me almost immediately when I had questions. We stayed Sept 7 to the 14th and the weather was just perfect. Drive to and from Seattle airport was a little over an hour.

Perfect home away from home
Beautiful property with gorgeous views. Our favorite part was waking up each morning and drinking our coffee on the deck while looking out over the Puget Sound. Cathy was more than accomodating and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!

Girls Weekend
We had a short 2-night stay but it was so enjoyable. What a special place mixing old with new and so fully stocked. Working with owner was a breeze. And the views!! Wow! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back!

Views, charm, water access
This is a lovely home, with lots of character. It’s very thoughtfully furnished and designed to be serene and comfortable, as well as spacious—our family of four had plenty of space, with cozy bedrooms. The kitchen was great, with high end appliances and all the dishes and pots and pans you need. Nothing was skimpy. The view is great and access to the water is easy. We brought paddle boards and kayaks were available for guests. We will return to this property. It was serene and a wonderful place for our family to spend time together. We highly recommend.
