Only 100 meters from the pier, where the boat drops you. Very quiet. Very clean. All rooms overlook the sea. You are literally 10 meters from the sea. Walk the 100 meters back to the pier and you are in the area with bars and restaurants. Lovely staff, willing to help with anything. Each room has a seating area outside with a hammock. So relaxing. Good breakfast too, which was not included in my package, but cheap enough. Would recommend Sunrise Villas & would definately stay again.

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night during our 6 day vacation to Bangkok. It was nothing short of fantastic! The location is great (on the beach), rooms are very nice and clean. The overall ambiance has a "beach house" feel to it which is a perfect escape from the hectic streets of Bangkok. I highly recommend this hotel! This resort is perfect for families, couples and young travelers like my sister and I.

Fabulous hotel right on the beach and close to the ferry pier. Staff did so much to help and the food was outstanding.

I had a junior suite in T-zone about 10 metres from the beach. New or refurbished dark wood hut quite high with small veranda with good space between huts. Also inside seating area with windows on three sides so light with view of the beach and sea. Bedroom area could be separated off by curtains. Simple but good size toilet and shower. I was so happy to find that the beach and water are as clean as I remember from being there several years ago. This is definitely the best resort on the beach. The grounds are well taken care of (They even sweep leaves off the beach) and I found the staff to be very attentive. I booked the Suite Seaview room. It was a very good room with a very large balcony. I would say the balcony was probably as big as the room. As the room description says we had a sea view and from the balcony you can see the entire length of the island. The room was very clean but the bathroom did smell a bit in the late afternoon and evening but keeping the door closed kept the smell away from the rest of the room. The hotel can be accessed by a direct speed boat from the mainland in twenty minutes. A slower boat (50 minutes) is another option at the next bay, giving you a ten minute walk. The restaurant is on the beach and this is where breakfast is served. All day dining too. The room was well appointed with air-con and a mosquito net over the bed (although that wasn't necessary for the stay). Friendly, helpful staff. We also loaned a motorcycle from them to tour the island. We had to move rooms as they had maintenance planned on the a/c in the first room, but both rooms were clean and comfortable (although the little step down near the window in both rooms could do with hazard tape)
