A Wonderful Place to Relax and Experience Zanzibar! I spent five nights at Alladin Beach Resort following my Kilimanjaro climb, and it was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar. The setting is beautiful, with stunning views of the Indian Ocean and spectacular sunrises. I loved starting my mornings with a coffee, watching the sun come up and taking in the peaceful surroundings. What really made my stay special, though, was the people. The staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely attentive. A special mention to Farah, the bartender, who went out of his way to make me a special drink. Those little personal touches make such a difference. The resort provided a lovely balance of relaxation and opportunities to explore. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the ocean views and the chance to experience a little of the local culture beyond the hotel. After nine days climbing Kilimanjaro, Alladin was exactly the kind of place I needed to recharge. I left with wonderful memories, and I would happily return. Our stay at Diamonds Mapenzi Beach had several positive aspects. The location is good, the pool area is nice, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. That said, there are a few points worth being aware of. The rooms appear more worn in reality than the pictures suggest, which detracts from the overall impression. In addition, the food unfortunately falls below expectations. Considering the price, the culinary experience could have been significantly better. This becomes particularly noticeable when compared to similar hotels in destinations such as the Seychelles or Cape Verde, where the food standard is often higher within the same price range. It is also worth mentioning that the Hotels.com Gold benefits (Early/Late checkout, Upgrade) do not seem to apply here (even when listed on confirmatio). However, this appears to be more an issue with Hotels.com rather than the hotel itself. Overall, a perfectly acceptable place to stay, but somewhat overpriced for the experience it offers.
