"Auchengool House was a fantastic base for our long weekend in Kirkcudbright. It is a stylish and comfortable home. Very well equipped and the welcome basket of locally sourced edible goodies from the owner was much appreciated. The hot tub was a fun addition to the beautiful garden which has the backdrop of the castle. There was plenty to do in the area - walks, National Trust properties ( Threave Estate and Broughton House ), Dark Art gin tour, shops, restaurants and the monthly farmers...
