The food was excellent.The portions were huge and the breakfast was particularly good.

We had an overnight stay at the Ship Inn following a wedding locally. The staff were very attentive & welcoming. The rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. The owners were friendly & kept the bar open for our return from the wedding.

What a great place to stay, the Mangers/Owners were helpful and courteous as were the staff. The food was great and the rooms comfortable, clean and warm. It had a warm family feel to it. It doesn't get any better than this and we would definitely stay there again.

Some may find this B&B quirky or a collectors paradise. However nothing can detract from the very warm welcome and friendliness of Andrew and Shirley. Very peaceful location overlooking the bay. Cuisine superb and staff very friendly. Scenery of Galloway easily accessible, but a car is essential.

I spent one night in Castle Dougls at airds farm. Upon arrival, as I turned off the highway and onto the farm road I was greeted by the most docile herd of cows that gently moved out of my way. A lovely en-suite with a view to die for. visiting family in the area will love to return in better weather.

I really liked all the staff they were lovely also liked the food it was very tasty
