"Lovely hotel, our room was great and breakfast fantastic. Didn’t use the pool, fitness centre or spa so can’t comment but they looked nice. Did do a 7km walk run on one of the recommended routes around the hotel which was very scenic. We’ll definitely return when the build is finished and new restaurant is open."

"The Royal Oak has a wonderful location in a quiet village setting and visitors can expect a relaxing change of pace. The countryside around is spectacular for England and the people are without exception friendly and helpful. I'm perhaps biased because my family lived in Gt Ayton in the early 19th Century and although I was born in North Yorkshire today, as a visiting southerner it's very much my home ground.
