Booked as a last minute shopping trip accommodation and what a pleasant surprise, hotel was lovely and every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we went for a special menu at night and had a fantastic meal , Will certainly go back

Very well run city/town centre hotel. Very clean, great central location, good breakfast and nice restaurant & bar. The only negative was the lack of free parking spaces for hotel residents (only 6). Although there is an inexpensive pay & display car park at the rear of the hotel, with access to the hotel.

On the online booking form we requested a quiet room on the top floor and that is exactly what we got plus the added bonus of a lovely view of the abbey and other historic buildings. The hotel is located well away from the main road so no traffic noise. We had a meal in the bistro which had a good variety on the menu, all reasonably priced as were the drinks. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We didn't have breakfast but were told by other guests that it was excellent. I would recommend this...

A lovely old house kept in great condition. Our room was warm and comfortable and spotlessly clean. A great breakfast set us up for the day. The proprietors were friendly and helpful.

My family and I stayed just one night but enjoyed the relaxed ambience of the hotel, found the staff very friendly and well trained. Dinner and breakfast excellent. Check in and out very easy.

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price.
Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?)
If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St.
We'll stay here again. Loved it.

The best area to stay in Kinnesswood is within the village itself, particularly around Main Street, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the stunning surrounding nature.

The longer daylight hours also mean more time to enjoy the scenic views and explore local attractions like the RSPB Loch Leven nature reserve.
Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find these months particularly appealing. You'll be able to enjoy leisurely strolls, picnics by the loch, and take advantage of the many local eateries with outdoor seating.
