"Great getaway, away from everything & everyone"
After a stressful last 5 minutes of our journey by car to the hotel (had car trouble, but managed to reach the hotel, in the dark), we were greeted by a really warm & friendly receptionist, Annette, who gave us 5 star service. We had a tired & hungry 16 month old baby Joshua with us. Annette even managed to get a smile from Joshua. Check in was smooth & quick. Thank you Annette. We were on the 2nd floor, with access by elevator. Arriving at our room, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room, and a cot was ready for Joshua's bed time. The room was really clean & spotless, and serviced daily. Thank you housekeeping. The room had a bath & shower, making it easy to bath our baby. The beds were also really comfy. The hotel has 3 bar's/restaurants, but we decided to enjoy room service. Although the meals are a bit pricey, the food was really top class. We woke to the sight of snow in the morning outside our window, and made our way down to the breakfast room. Breakfast was also great. During the day we tried out the heated indoor swimming pool. The facilities were spotless & clean. While we were swimming, we could see the snow falling outside which made it spectacular. As we had no car, we decided to take a stroll & enjoy nature with it's beautiful view of snow on the surrounding mountains. The hotel's next to Loch Rannoch, which I'm sure would be great during summer, as there's facilities to hire kayak's etc. Thank you MacDonald Loch Rannoch. We'll be back.
