"A gem of a little hotel in the most beautiful off the beaten track location. The drive to the hotel is stunning & its location especially as we visited in Autumn is glorious. We stayed for 2 nights in a perfectly appointed 1 bed suite with separate living area. The staff were helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the meal was very good. My only comment was on breakfast, ok if you want a full breakfast, but I prefer yogurt, fruit etc, which is available if you ask. Would be nice to have some healthier options available."

"This destination is as good as it gets. It's not inexpensive but it still is good value. From arrival to departure it was first class. Our hosts Archie and Annie were great fun. The Highland cows and the Shetland pony were an entertaining diversion. Everything, and I mean everything, was top notch. Our bedroom, the Empress's Suite I believe, was cozy and the bathroom was spacious with a wonderful shower and a great soaker tub. The cuisine was of a very high calibre, both our meals and breakfast were marvellous. Francesco kept the fireplaces burning and was extremely helpful. The Manse is easily accessible off the A9, close to the House of Bruhar, and has many hill walking options The property itself was beautifully maintained. Go. And enjoy."
