Hotel is Way Overrated; Advertising is Deceptive
This hotel (more like a motel) is located west of the Airport on a peninsula. Pros: It is near Airport, There is relatively good food at only restaurant. It is in a quiet location and you don't hear planes, just dogs barking nearby. It is near to one of the best restaurants on the Island (Gloria's) which is 1.5 blocks away outside the gate and walking distance. There is air conditioning, weak WIFI and a TV with limited channels. Cons: During 4-day stay my "deluxe double room" was only cleaned and bed made once. There are no telephones and beds are hard.. I had to ask for a blanket and was given a spread that was worn. Bath had no bar soap, only two bottles of toiletries, sink never cleaned, only trash emptied once and bed made. Had to go to lobby to request toilet tissue. Took 10 minutes. Room is sparsely furnished -no table lamps, only a desk chair. No chairs or table on outside veranda. Breakfast included. Terrible coffee. Must love Jamaican family-style breakfast. Had to tell lady how to cook omelet. Untrained staff, particularly bartenders. Can only buy water when bar is open. No shop. No machine. No spa. Photos online are totally misleading. Never saw anything. that looked like them. No service around pool, not even a water container. No pool towels Told discreetly to take one from room. No working elevators although there is a shaft. Barking dogs outside and ugly front yard view.
