Good experience

Posted 17-Aug-2016
Pros: The food, the staff, the pool
Cons: Room-darkening blinds would be nice, and more blankets could be provided.
Location: Near to an international airport and very close to historic Port Royal, where local sea-food is available
The room was spacious and comfortable. This was a room with a loft which suited me and my two grandchildren very well. The complementary breakfast was excellent, with a variety of choices including healthful local options. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. This hotel is an excellent option if one wants to explore historic Port Royal, or if you simply want to be close to the airport. I liked the hotel so much on my first stay that I returned there for an unplanned second stint. Highly recommended.

The equivalent to a USA motel

This hotel needs much improvement. The pictures do not match the hotel room. The service was spotty. The accommodation sparse.

Hotel is Way Overrated; Advertising is Deceptive

Posted 17-Aug-2016
Pros: Price.
Cons: Everything. See above. Hotel needs serious infusion of capital, total renovation, and training of all staff. Even live plants are unattended, lobby.
Location: There is a boat to Lime Cay for a small fee. Not sure about its safety. Island has no food or beverages. No hotel plan to provide. Gloria's restaurant
This hotel (more like a motel) is located west of the Airport on a peninsula. Pros: It is near Airport, There is relatively good food at only restaurant. It is in a quiet location and you don't hear planes, just dogs barking nearby. It is near to one of the best restaurants on the Island (Gloria's) which is 1.5 blocks away outside the gate and walking distance. There is air conditioning, weak WIFI and a TV with limited channels. Cons: During 4-day stay my "deluxe double room" was only cleaned and bed made once. There are no telephones and beds are hard.. I had to ask for a blanket and was given a spread that was worn. Bath had no bar soap, only two bottles of toiletries, sink never cleaned, only trash emptied once and bed made. Had to go to lobby to request toilet tissue. Took 10 minutes. Room is sparsely furnished -no table lamps, only a desk chair. No chairs or table on outside veranda. Breakfast included. Terrible coffee. Must love Jamaican family-style breakfast. Had to tell lady how to cook omelet. Untrained staff, particularly bartenders. Can only buy water when bar is open. No shop. No machine. No spa. Photos online are totally misleading. Never saw anything. that looked like them. No service around pool, not even a water container. No pool towels Told discreetly to take one from room. No working elevators although there is a shaft. Barking dogs outside and ugly front yard view.

Very nice!close to the beach as mentioned staff very courteous, good Jamaican food for breakfast, the rooms are very clean and if you love seafood you're right in the mouth of Gloria's one of the best seafood restaurants in Jamaica. The only thing that bothered me was, that thing they sprayed in the evening's to keep mosquitoes away...apart from that great place to stay

Very nice for the price

My stay at this location was, overall, a positive experience. The staff was professional and courteous, the room was well maintained and clean with comfortable furnishings, and the location is beautiful. There were a few drawbacks though. The night prior to my stay they'd had a full house, and I wasn't able to check in until nearly 4 o'clock. I occupied myself at the on-site restaurant while waiting for check in and the food was good. I had an early flight out so and woke up at 4:15 am. At 4:30 the hotel started playing very loud music that probably would have woken me up and really bothered me if I hadn't already been awake. I don't know if it was because of the wedding they were hosting or if they just like to get a jump on the day, but I think travelers, especially from the US, would want to be forewarned about that.

Very far from Kingston, hotel not in the best state

Hotel room had a really strange smell, and the location is pretty inaccessible especially if you are a tourist and unsure about the local transportation.

Nice hotel near the beach but very basic

Posted 15-Jul-2016
Pros: Location near the airport
Cons: Air conditioner on the rooms, reception system
Location: Located near a touristic fisherman village and near the airport.
A nice location but quite expensive for the rooms conditions and hotel in general is no more than 2 stars.

Not the best but we made the most of it.

My stay started off bad and we had to be moved rooms. It wasn't what was pictured or described when I chose the room. They did however try make me feel more comfy hence why they movee to a new room. Service was slow but this could be due to the fact there was one person serving n taking food orders. Breakfast was free and I know why.... it was terrible.

Nice facility...

Posted 16-Apr-2016
Pros: Definitely the warm staff and the breakfast! 😀
Cons: Plant some nice flowers at the front of the hotel to add some curb appeal...
Location: Nice location very close to the airport. However, nothing to do within walking distance of the hotel,
Overall a nice facility right on the water and 2 miles from the Airport. The room was clean and comfortable, however the building is a bit dated. Staff are friendly and the breakfast was great, a 9/10. However, one big drawback. Be sure to take a suitcase of money with you to the hotel bar. $10 USD for a pina colada!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous....
