Some issues
The house has a lot of potential but very dated. First two days AC was broke and the fan in the master bedroom had no pull chain. Too hot for no air flow. The master bed was so old it squeaked every time you moved. Also mattress was too firm. The positives were the property cat and the location.

Thank you for your four star review. The central air conditioner is only five years old developed a leak and we offered to move you to the other cottage on property until the air conditioning company arrived first thing Monday morning. Why you did not accept our offer I don't understand. He did measure the inside temperature and noted it was reading 74 degrees inside and the outside temperature was in the mid 70's . The repair was completed first appointment Monday morning. The owner did address the pull chain on the fan. First I am hearing about the bed. Mattresses preferences are different per individual. It is not a cottage of granite and marble and that is what most of my repeat renters ( some for over 8 years) love about it. It is a true Conch style cottage. Roberta

Nice cottage, quiet location!
This cottage came with a little Kitty cat! A big plus for me, being a cat lover, but maybe not for everyone. You're only a block off of Truman street, and about 3 blocks to Duval. We would love to stay there again. We rented a golf cart and we had our own space to park it there. I highly recommend some kind of transportation at this location, unless you're a lot younger than us, and don't mind about a 5 block hike to Duval. The water pressure was a bit low and the A/C may not keep up on a very hot day but we were comfortable during our stay in April.

Located in the historic district is for most a easy hike to famous Duval Street. The cottage has two wall units so surprised to hear it was not cool for you. Lovely and quiet Perfect location
We stayed in the carriage house and it was perfect. We had everything we needed. We were close to everything. Owners/managers were available for questions and made sure our stay was seamlessly perfect. If you’re looking for a quiet place near everything with the comforts of home, this is the place!

Relax in Paradise
The cottage is nestled cozy in its surroundings with a pool and lounging area. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed to make our stay so very homey and comfortable. Its located mere minutes from all the hot spots in key west. We truly had a ball!

Loved this place!!
Myself, husband, sister and friend came to celebrate my 50th! There was plenty of room for us all and we didn't feel cramped. The cottage was just far enough from Duval that we couldn't hear it, but close enough to walk to. We absolutely loved the pool and lounged around it daily. It was nice to talk to the other people staying there on the property too. And I can't say enough about Kitty, she was the best.She made it feel really like home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need and there were plenty of towels for everyone. I will definitely recommend this place to others!

LOCATION WOW - LOVED IT
We had a great time. LOVED the location. Property Mgr very efficient. The owner definitely needs to get a new bed and mattress for the master bedroom - awful sleep x 3 nts. The bathrooms need a facelift as tiles were cracked and mildew. We were hardly at the house so it did not dampen our stay but for $350 per night felt like the house could have been cleaner with newer linen, towels etc. Didn't use the pool but very pleasant and quiet. Adored the cat! All in all a good time but would not return unless the owner invests money in the issues that were mentioned.

Quality rental
A friend and I stayed here for a girls trip. It is a very nice 2 bed, 2 bath cottage. Everything was exactly as expected based on the pictures and description. It was clean. The owner provided all the contactless checkin information in advance. We had access to the pool which we did use. And it is walking distance to Duval street. Would definitely stay there again.

60th Birthday
We came to Key West to celebrate my 60th birthday. Everything at the Carriage House was great and as promised. Roberta was an excellent host. I would recommend this place to friends. We walked to Duvall Street for dinner the first night but rented a Golf Cart for the rest of the week. The walk was not bad at all we just wanted to see more than what we could walk.

Total Enjoyment!
Communication and check-in/check-out were a breeze!! The property was just as described. Pool was fantastic and always clean. Washer and dryer in unit was a wonderful plus!! I would book again but it's already taken for when we will be back next March!!

Amazing cottage!
Amazing stay in Old Town Key West! This place is perfectly located, central to everything without being in the “party” zone of Duval. The pool adds to the ambiance of the place and is a nice respite on a hot day. If you stay, be sure to give “Kitty” some love! She’s the best!

Amazing location and place to stay!!!
The location and property were so cute. The pool was awesome to hang out at daily and anything that was needed was taking care of super quick. Great Little Cottage and Location
This property was in a great location and within a 2 mile walking distance of most attractions. If you are not into walking you can catch the free Duval Loop bus within 3 blocks (Off of Virginia turn right on Windson, left on Truman and left on Simonton to the bus stop mid-block.) Cuban coffee shop and Cuban Restuarant within walking distance....great for takeout to eat around the pool. Wonderful neighborhoods to walk in to see the Key West lifestyle. The Cottage is older, but is well maintained and owner lives in main house on the property.

Quaint Cottage (with cat included)

Great family time
This rental was in the perfect location. Far enough away from Duval that it was quiet, and close enough to bike everywhere we wanted to go. Never got in the car except to leave. Very clean, had all the kitchen amenities needed. Kitty was an added bonus. Roberta was very attentive and quick with responses. Would definitely recommend.

Little piece of paradise
Full size bed is very uncomfortable. The floors need to be scrubbed they are filthy. We had an overall great time. House was comfortable will definitely be back. We loved kitty.

Small old house. Pool is shared with another VRBO house. Bed bugs gallore.
The location was quite fair, walking distance to Duval street and shopping. Quiet neighborhood and safe. Worst were the bugs biting the hell out of us in the beds. We were booked for 5 nights, after one night, I spent the next 4 sleeping on a sofa in the living room. (still got bitten but not as bad.) 5 days after leaving we are still scratching. Host said it was the first she had heard of it.? Besides that, the mattresses are uncomfortable. I wish I could post a photo of all the bites on my wife's legs and arms. The entire family has bites. Spoilt an otherwise nice 17 day vacation to Florida. Other VRBO's in St. Augustine and New Smyrna were 5 star. Unfortunately, this one was the last stop. Tiny ants all over the kitchen counter tops, make sure all food type items stay in a fridge.

I have to date 102 reviews with an excellent rating of 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. The location is four blocks to famous Duval Street which most find an easy walk. You checked in on Sept 10th and five days later on Sept 15th the day of check out you mentioned bites. The Pest Control spays on 12th of each month and I notified you to leave the key in which you did not. I would assume if you were that bad you would of left the key or waiting for the pest control to show up and you would of told me about the "bites "I had to reschedule for them to go back. What tourist don't understand if they go to the beach or parks anytime between sunrise or sunset they can get bite by no-see-ums that will show later and itch. I have renters there now and no mention of bites at all. The sugar ants on counter come up from the pipes in the rainy season and no treatment works even professionally. If no food is on the counters it will not be an issue. Roberta

Place was nice and comfortable. Ac set to 74 doesn’t get any cooler we prefer 72… enough towels pool was clean and kitty was very sweet we brought her treats. Fridge had trouble staying cold. I enjoyed reading the pictures and maps by the bathroom on the wall. Thank you.

Nice quaint cottage
The cottage was nice and neat. When we were there, construction was going on at the main house,. We were given the option to remain at the property or Roberta would move us. We wanted to be closer to Duval St so we could walk to restaurants, bars and shops. Plenty of room for me and hubby to spread out. Another couple was going to meet us, but they couldn't make it, but there would have been plenty of room for all. Kitchen well stocked with pots/pans, dishware and cleaning products. No matter how many times I wiped down the counter with Clorox wipes, small ants were always on the counter. I guess the humidity brings them out - Hawaii is the same! Washer/dryer is small but works fine. Bed is okay but should probably be replaced soon. Resident outdoor kitty is friendly and likes to be petted. We would stay here again.

Quiet Oasis
This property is amazing. It is off the beaten path but yet accessible to everything. There were three cottages on the property with a pool in the middle. The two bedroom, two bath that my friend and I stayed with was like a little apartment. Very spacious with a full kitchen. And the property manager Roberta, was extremely helpful and extremely responsive. I would not hesitate to stay here again, in fact I am already looking at next summer. Thank you Roberta

Nice, clean, and comfortable. Roberta was very responsive and great to work with.
Perfect for 4 adults. Amenities were a plus…loved having a kitchen and washer and dryer. The pool was the perfect size and was just right for us to relax in after a day of walking. The owners were great to work with and we’re super responsive to any needs we had. Liked the location…we usually stay farther up Duval where it’s busier, so it was nice to be in a quiet area, but still close to Duval. Word of advice…it’s Florida..so you might see a bug or two…just keep the kitchen clean, and you will be fine. Would recommend and stay again.

quiet neighborhood
condo was very comfortable, all photos completely accurate. Pool was a nice oasis to come home to after site seeing in the heat. Lovely quiet neighborhood, easy to drive to everything in Key West. Very clean with the right amount of distance between the two bedrooms if used. Nice large shower in second bedroom with perfect water pressure. Another thing that made our entire stay just comfortable. Will stay there again for sure.

Christopher I was surprised by your review comments. I went back to our text messages and I absolutely did inform your about the renovation and that it would be completed in October of this year. It was on June 15th giving you almost a month notice before arrival and offering you a 10% refund or a full refund. You accepted the discount since your rate was only $250 a night and hotels are running from $450 up to over $1,000 a night. When I asked you the day of check-out if you enjoyed your stay your comment was " yes we did enjoy ourselves". The next two reservations gave a five star review on the property right after your stay and had a wonderful time with no negative comments. Roberta

Perfect location with great surroundings
This property is located right in the middle of all the popular locations. Everything is within walking distance. We enjoyed the little Cuban restaurant right around the corner (get the Cuban mixto. It will not disappoint! ) The pool was nice to cool off after long day of walking. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything that we needed. We enjoyed the resident cat and our neighbor. They were in the middle of construction while we were there and it did not disturb us one bit. We will definitely be back!

Looks can be deceiving!
When we booked the cottage I thought it was a lot smaller than it turned out. There was lots of space for everyone. We really enjoyed our time there, I would definitely recommend renting this property.

Key West Vacation Cottage
This lovely cottage was just perfect for me. It is spacious with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a large living area. There is a pool shared with the other 2 cottages and even a resident kitty! It is in a quiet neighborhood near Duval St and several fantastic restaurants. It is a bit of a walk to the Mallory Square area. I highly recommend this cottage for a Key West vacation.
