After doing a 6 hour drive and just coming off the moterway the hotel was in a excellent location & easy to find, we was also greeted by friendly and very welcoming staff. Check in only took 5 mins with no delays.
We arrived early, having traveled from Stockport. We arrived early but our room was ready and we were able to check in. The staff were very friendly and willing to assist.
Terrible weather but lovely hotel and the kids enjoyed a swim in the pool before breakfast. The restaurant was fully booked but we had a good meal in the bar
Everything you'd want in a self catering stay, Liz was lovely and couldn't make us feel more welcome! The location was gorgeous and so peaceful! The courtyard was so nice as it allowed the kids to play in a safe and fun environment without you having to watch them constantly! We only stayed for 1 ...
First time in visiting the area, we have been talking about going to Leeds Castle and the Historic Dockyard for many years. The hotel was a perfect base t do this. The food in the hotel was very well prepared if a little on the large size.
Green sustainable hotels in Kent are on the rise, and not before time. People in today's more enlightened age are increasingly aware of the importance of protecting the planet, and it's important for them to limit their carbon footprint as much as they can, especially on holiday. They may have measures in place at home, but their choice of suitable green hotels has until now been somewhat limited. However, a little research will reveal that Kent now has a great selection of green sustainable hotels spread right across the county, which is good news for us and also for the planet.
In locations such as Canterbury, Dover, Henley-on-Thames and even around the Romney Marsh area you'll find a good choice of green sustainable hotels all over Kent these days. These conscientious businesses take their environmental credentials seriously and aim to make money as businesses of course, but also to minimise their carbon footprint as much as they can. To that end they may go as far as to purchase neighbouring woodland to manage it more effectively, or more commonly to plant your trees in the immediate vicinity in the quest for the Holy Grail of CO2 neutrality!
There is a wide choice of green sustainable hotels in Kent, to suit every taste and budget. They tend to be relatively smaller establishments, which allows them to implement their innovative green planning strategies in a more systematic and controlled manner than if they had a large number of guests to deal with. These strategies include everything from managing local woodland areas to using rainwater drain-off for flushing the toilets, using recycled toilet paper and organic bed linen. Many green hotels in Kent use mattresses in guestrooms filled not with manmade fibres but with natural rubber, horsehair or cocoa fibres.
A green sustainable Kent hotel such as the Hilton Dartford Bridge in Dartford and the Palace Farm Hostel and Campsite in Sittingbourne will enable you to have a great time during your break, and also a clearer conscience about your carbon footprint.
