My 2nd visit here, the staff were friendly and accommodating, room, dinner and breakfast were excellent.

was a great couple of days away, bathroom fan could have done with a clean and cobwebs in main bedroom, but nothing to spoil our stay. Hotel was very grand and lived up to our expectations.

Had a lovely weekend here. This hotel was perfect. Nice and quiet but lively enough to provide a pleasant ambiance without ever being noisy or overbearing. Staff throughout were lovely and the food is very good. Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to get away and relax.

Having read several less than complimentary reviews, I have to say this was a first class experience. Many rooms and most of interior are refurbished. Breakfast excellent. Great value for money and will definitely return.

I was hoping that this hotel was out of the town and was a little concerned when I saw the location was in the suburbs of Halifax however was pleasantly surprised at the peace and lack of noise both traffic and neighbourly. It was the best night's sleep i've had in a hotel lovely comfy bed and the cleanliness 10 out of 10. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Food very good . I really couldn't fault this hotel.

Very helpful management, and a peaceful, clean, pleasant room. I only wish I'd had time to try their restaurant. The menu looked great! Well, next time!

Country hotel set in beautiful grounds, but modern and comfortable inside, friendly helpful staff and delicious food made for a relaxing short break. This was made even more special by a large delightful room and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. This is a very nice place to stay and the Inn over the road is a great place to eat. The rooms and communal areas have been very tastefully decorated and it is very comfortable. Only one point, some of the rooms overlook a road which is surprisingly busy even in the middle of the night - not great if you are a light sleeper.

This is a fantastic hotel, in an idyllic location. Everything about Goldsborough is of the highest quality, with great attention to detail .Our room was exceptional and the cleanliness was the best I have seen so far. The gardens are delightful to walk round and the head gardener was very polite and friendly, as were all the staff.
