The chapel is in a great peaceful village location yet just 2 miles from the famous cobbled streets of Haworth where you will find an abundance of cafes, pubs and curiosity shops and the famous Bronte parsonage where the famous writers the Bronte sisters home can be visited.
The Worth Valley railway is just a short walk down the hill and can be caught from Oxenhope train station and a short ride to Haworth and a pleasant walk through central park will get you to the cobbled main street.
For those who love the outdoors The Vestry is situated across from the Leeming reservoir where you can walk with the dogs with ease. The Bronte Waterfalls in Haworth is a great circular walk where you take in the wonderful views over the valley and drop in at a country pub for a drink on route in the tiny village of Stanbury. Haworth moors are great too and the views can be breath taking.
Just a short car or bus ride away is Hebden Bridge which is well worth a visit for the more adventurous a lovely walk there is great but not for the faint hearted.

Lovely house in large secure garden. Very child and animal safe.Outside space perfect. Kitchen diner fine for eating and chat. Rather full when 11 in. When kids spread out through house, space fine for adults. Plenty of facilities close for food and exercise.Only criticism, lamps and lighting need alittle attention. House starting to need alittle TLC.
The property was a little confusing to find, because the only signage referred to the adjoining property is in front of it. Prior warning would have helped. The accommodation was first class, got brilliant and a lovely time had by all.
What a wonderful time we had celebrating mum's 90th birthday with the family. The Vestry was absolutely perfect for us all, plenty of room, loads of character and superb location. The hot tub certainly got plenty of use too. Karen kept in touch and was a great host. Hopefully we'll come back again in the near future.
Great house for weekend away with friends or family.Could do with a bit of updating in some areas & the cleaning could do with being a little more accurate. We noticed quite a lot of cobwebs but apart from that a lovely propery in a stunning location.

Stayed here at the end of January for my 60th, we chose this property for its size and open plan living area, set over 4 floors, 6 adults, 5 kidsBedrooms were lovely, bedding fresh and clean, towels provided, top floor is also open plan, Living quarters is looking tired, both sofas are very well worn, flat cushions, too many scatter cushions masking it ( we moved these to the utility) along with the rug, we moved the larger sofa back to give us more space, the floor under the sofa cannot have seen an hoover for a while, The kitchen area was ok, ample equipment, dinner service, cup, cutlery all great This property could be so special, but it ok
Well equipped house with plenty of space. Has four floors but we havd one person with reduced mobility and managed to the first floor without too much problem. We found plenty to do (NT and the railway to mention two). Kids loved the hot tub. Pheasants and deer in the field behind us.
The property is situated in a lovely, peaceful spot. On Friday night when we arrived, sat having drinks in the garden we were lucky enough to see a mother deer and her fawn skipping up the fields behind us. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed, large spacious bedrooms and a lovely hot tub. We had lunch in the dog and gun pub just up the road and the food was delicious. We then called at the Lamb just over the road for a quick drink before going back to enjoy the house. The host (Karen) was so helpful, she was easy to contact and got back to me with any questions I had and sent us a list of restaurants and takeaways which we used on the Friday night. I would definitely recommend this place!
We had a fabulous long weekend at The Vestry celebrating my dad's 80th. The house was an excellent size to accommodate all the family (10 of us), with the living area being a great size for our celebrations, and relaxing. The hot tub was a welcome addition and was well used throughout. The kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs whilst there. There are a lot of stairs to get to all of the various bedrooms, not a problem for most, but my parents had to use the first floor bedroom. I'm pleased to say we didn't do much exploring over the weekend due to the fantastic weather, so we spent a lot of time in the back garden watching deer, pheasants and curlews. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Had a perfect weekend with family - children and elderly parents - all lovely - would def go again Not so keen on the toilet with no door in the top floor bedroom but my family were entertained by my reaction!!
We had a wonderful stay for our daughter's wedding. Everything was perfect for our family and bridesmaids who stayed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and there was sufficient relaxing space downstairs by the open kitchen and dining area. The views from the house are stunning and it is easy to go out on country walks. The bathrooms were on each floor and all was of a very good quality. We would highly recommend the house.
A well-equipped, spacious house over four floors in a beautiful location opposite Leeming reservoir. Comfortable beds, nice outdoor space with lovely walks from the doorstep. Seven of us and two dogs stayed comfortably,
11 of us stayed for the weekend and had such a great time. Gorgeous house with fab garden and hot tub a bonus. Lovely area with nice Sunday pub lunch. Host (Karen) just lovely to deal with. Thanks for a great stay 😊
House was great, perfect for our group and really well furnished. Only downside was hot tub not working for the duration of our stay. This was possibly due to water in the power socket. Host did her best to resolve remotely but not possible.
Stayed here for our annual weekend get together and had a brilliant time in The Vestry despite the wind and snow. The house is beautiful with everything you need and Karen is a very helpful and friendly host. Thanks again.
Booked this house for 2 nights for 4 adults and 9 children of varying ages including 3 babies. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. We were unlucky with the weather and so we were inside a fair bit. We did spend some time in central park. We ate at the Dog and Gun and the staff there were so lovely and accommodating. The food was lovely. The host was so helpful both before and during the trip. Communication was quick and easy and she was so accommodating and understanding. Perfect aside from the weather!

our stay at the vestry
We had a very nice stay ,in this lovely loccation the cottage was large and clean , however on arrival we found the dryer was not working, rang the host several times and left messages and e mails. We had no reply or any contact during our stay ,so dryer remained broken ( frustrating ). Also a minor irk was there was no tin opener.A welcome pack would have been nicer than a download. The host scored 0 but the stay was nice
Just come back from a lovely weekend, what a beautiful house! Everything was spotlessly clean, the kitchen facilities were great although we didn’t really do much cooking. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable. Garden was brilliant for the dogs as there was a gate at the top of the drive you could close off so they couldn’t get out. Would say very small dogs could possibly squeeze through the bottom but we just put something up against it to stop this and kept an eye on them at all times. The hot tub was a fantastic addition which the kids (and adults) loved. The surrounding area is lovely, we had a walk around the small reservoir nearby. There’s are also 2 pubs in walking distance but we didn’t end up having time to try these. Karen was easy to reach and answered all questions I had before and during our stay. Overall everyone said what a fantastic weekend it had been so thank you very much and hopefully we’ll be back again soon.
We had a great time staying at the Vestry, the house is clean with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. The hot tub was fantastic and really made the weekend for me and my friends. Karen was helpful, coming over to help reset the oven when it wasn’t turning on due to power going off. This was an easy fix but maybe worth including in the house guide.
Overall, thank you for a fantastic weekend and would definitely stay again!
