"Loved this traditional stay in Kyoto, the breakfast was great and the tub in the bathroom was so relaxing after a long day of walking. The only thing is if you don’t have a car rental it can be tricky planning your day based on the bus routes. The bus stop is only a minute walk away but if you miss a bus you may have to wait a while for the next one. Overall loved staying here!"

"We finished our honeymoon at this hotel, and it was truly an amazing experience. The staff was incredible and made our stay feel so special. We had a couples massage that felt like it shaved ten years off both therapists were fantastic. The thermal pool was beautiful and impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to relax. I would also highly recommend the chef’s table; it was a memorable dining experience."

"Second time staying here in two years. Came here in 2024 for my first visit to Kyoto. Was so amazing I came back again. It did not disappoint once again. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Facilities, staff, food and cleanliness were all excellent. English speaking staff were very helpful and polite. Had breakfast one morning and was amazing. Coffee multiple mornings which were always perfect. Multiple shared bathrooms and showers on each floor that were always so clean that it felt brand new. Both the cafe downstairs and common area upstairs had amazing facilities and were always a great spot to hangout and relax. 2 minute walk from a bus station and 5 minute walk from a 711\. Many restaurants nearby that were fantastic as we tried may. KéFU Stay will also give you recommendations to nearby locations. Only negative of our stay and mostly unique to our room as this is out of the staffs control. We were in room 205 next to the laundry facilities. They have notices for people to not use them between 10pm and 6am to not disrupt patrons. Unfortunately many people in multiple nights disregarded these condition and would use the laundry facilities until 1am and as early as 5am. Only mentioning as it did affect our sleep very much, so when you look to book here I would recommend requesting to not be next to the laundry as other patrons will potentially disregard any care for you sleep. Disregarding the negative above. Highly recommend and will be back!"

"The pros; Great location.The onsen on property was great. The breakfast selection was great, loved the ice cream treats too. Rooms are small, very basic. The cons: Too many people. Line for coffee, line for breakfast ( Yes even at 6:45 am) and line to get on the elevator. Rooms are small, very basic. Stayed 3 nights here and it was good but would not stay there again… too crowded."

"Right across the street from the Nijo station... so it was perfect to catch the train wherever you wanted to go. Loved the shower. My room was on the smaller side but that was fine with us. We were out and about most of the days anyway. I enjoyed the public bath facilities ( separate one for men and women). The water had to be 105 degrees Fahrenheit, it was great. It was relaxing after a day full of walking. My bed was a little hard but I'm very spoiled in my Purple bed at home. Plenty of items for breakfast. Anyway, great location, location, location. "

"The apartment was super clean. AC worked well for us. Great value for the money, however for my family of 5 I wondered if the savings translated since we ended having to take an Uber back to Kyoto Station (25mins aprox) every day and back for all our tours.. maybe if you are public transport savvy it would be ok but we had two people with android phones and we failed to get a Suica card or ICOCA at the station and it just didn't work for us on the savings end. Also, I thought the fact there were no elevators was ok but going up and down to the 4th floor after all day exploring got a bit much. Otherwise, the apartment was great. Shower- the water pressure was great. Laundry- worked well, you hang your clothes to air dry inside the shower stall, this takes a few hours so I tried to do at night so they would dry in the am so we could all take showers. Key- they will only give you one actual key, which if your group will separate may be a bit inconvenient, but they do have an intercom to let your party through the front without having to go all the way down to open. So as long as the party with the key gets in first it would be no issue. 7 eleven a couple of blocks away."
