Kaikoura's lovely South Bays Cottage

South Bays Cottage is situated less than 100 metres from the boat ramp and also the main Marina. This 2 bedroom cottage has been totally renovated inside with modern appliances. Unlimited Fibre Broadband is included. The main bedroom has a queen bed and sliding doors to outdoors. The other bedroom also has a queen bed. Ideal for kids with a large area to run around. Fishermen will be happy with off street parking for a boat and car. This cottage backs onto reserve land. NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/pillow cases/tea towels) Duvets & Pillows provided

A good simple two bedroom batch in the heart of South Bay. Perfect for weekend or longer stays, close to the water and walking distance to some nice walks. Highly recommended.

Amazing location, has everything you need!

Loved our stay here! My two young kids and I had enough space to run around outside and all the comforts inside for when the weather shifted and we headed indoors. Close to all of the best parts of Kaikoura and just a short walk to the peninsula track. Loved our stay!

We enjoyed a wonderful time in this small but well equipped bach. It suited our small, young family and we were thrilled with the location which was just a short walk to the beach/bay.) A recommended place to stay!

Great little batch with everything a family needs on a trip away. Comfy clean and warm. Great with the smart tv and wifi. Only thing we will say pillows needing upgrading as pretty soft and not alot to them. Otherwise will most definitely stay again

Lovely place for a low key break

Lovely little property - perfect size for a family of 4. Super warm and cozy. Given it relies on previous occupants to clean it wasn’t super clean on arrival (it was clear it needed a good vacuum), but all cleaning products are provided so not difficult to fix :)

Filthy but good location

This property was in a stunning location, however upon arrival, we opened the door and there was a horrid odor throughout the whole house. We had to air it out for 2 days and it was still there. We could tell the place was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The bathroom had hair all over the sink, the floor was filthy and you could tell it had been awhile since it was cleaned. It made me very uncomfortable to put my infant down or even let him sleep there.

Change of Scenery

Our week-long stay in Kaikoura was an escape from Wellington and the chance to catch up with our adult daughter. As the weather was atrocious ŵe were very happy with the comfortable sofa and the flatscreen TV with Netflix. We couldn’t use the dining room table which was on the deck outside because of the temperatures but in summer it must be bliss. Overall we really enjoyed the cosy little bach. Communication with the hosts was outstanding; when we had problems with the hot water the plumber arrived in a flash and fixed it. Thank you for a fuss free stay! P.S. There is a recycling centre on top of the peninsula for rubbish and recycling.
