Aysgarth Falls Hotel

"We just stayed four nights at this hotel. We enjoyed the location of the property—not to far from Leyburn, Hawes, or Grassington. Good location for short and long walks or hikes. You can walk to the falls from the hotel, and there are footpaths if you want to walk to all three falls. That was fun. Just a quick drive to visit Bolton Castle—worth the visit. We enjoyed the breakfasts—nice selection of pastries, cereals and fruit. And, the selection of hot items on the breakfast menu was good, as well. We had dinner there on three nights of our stay—we were very happy with everything we ordered. Our room was clean, and a very nice size. The bed was comfortable. The bar had a nice selection of beer, cocktails, and wine. It was a nice place to meet other people during our stay. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again."
The Buck INN

"The Buck Inn is in a prime central location on a picturesque street. I think some of the recent reviews are unfair. Richmond is an expensive town and most places charge £160 to £180 per night. The Buck Inn charges £85 a night for a double and that includes a very good breakfast. The room is a large en-suite with tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and a fair sized tv. Good quality toiletries are provided. The bedding is clean and very good quality and the bed is comfortable. The downsides are that the carpet has seen much better days and needs a good steam clean or replacing. Elements of the decor could do with an upgrade. The room needs far better lighting and more electrical sockets, especially near the bed. Overall though, this represents good value for Richmond. We found the welcome to be very friendly and the bar serves an excellent pint of cask ale! We would happily return."

"We stayed at Tan Hill for part of our honeymoon and it was perfect. We stayed in Pennine view superior room and it was breathtaking. Spotlessly clean, perfect in everyway. Great choice of drinks in the bar, staff were fantastic. Breakfast was simply amazing. Great circular walk down to keld across the Pennine way"

"It was a good place for my American visitors to spend their first night in the UK. A traditional pub in a very attractive town. Dinner and breakfast were good. We found the parking area at the back of Morrisons. A bit tight but after some back and forth I managed to wedge the car in and didn't block anyone else."
