Was very pleased with this hotel. Staff were very friendly and our room was good (we upgraded to a deluxe). The breakfast was lovely and there was a great selection. We used the metro, trams and buses during our stay and soon got to grips with it all. Overall we had an enjoyable experience at this hotel and Budapest is wonderful.
Budapest is a very interesting city, with some excellent restaurants. Most of it is easily walkable. We only used public transport once while visiting areas from Gellert Hill to Margit Island and up to the Heroes Monument.

My daughter age 19 years old, and I stayed a week and we found the room clean and nice balcony. Air conditioning was very needed. The staff are a bit hit and miss, some of the front of house reception are quite rude occassionally, and the consierge failed to order our taxi at 8 am we needed for an appointment. all in all, good value for money, and the beautyparlour and treatments are good value. I would recommend staying again, however I would maybe upgrade to a superior room next time as the twins are a bit small ish. Also the restaurant staff very helpful and generally quite nice.
My husband and I stayed at the Bo18 hotel for 4 nights in September. We had a great stay. The hotel is clean, updated and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We utilized their hotel/airport shuttle, and they were great at arranging it with us. The buffet breakfast has a lot of different options, maybe not exactly typical north american food, but that's great, they had lots of fresh food and we were happy with the available options. They are also located close to a shopping mall with a grocery store, so if you need something specific you can easily walk there to get a snack, or even eat at the food court. The room was pretty basic, but had everything we needed, and it even had a console with a 4 port USB charge, which was great for our gadgets and not having to use our adapter. The hotel staff was very friendly and always gave good advice on places to visit, or where to eat. It wasn't right in the city center but it was a short walk, maybe 10-15 mins. We would absolutely stay here if we ever came back to Budapest.
Hotel was very clean. Staff were polite, informative and spoke fluent English. Breakfast was ok, if a little overpriced. The hotel is a comfortable walking distance from Deak Ferenc ter (the main square) where you can get the metro to most parts of Budapest. However there is the Astoria metro station on your doorstep if you don't fancy the walk.
Tesco and cashpoint are very close by. My advice would be not to bother booking a transfer from the airport as in an hour we got 1 bus and 2 trains to the hotels door for only £1.60! The Museum Hotel is both suitably close to all the main sights and attractions and very reasonably priced! We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. 😊
Jozsefvaros is a predominantly residential area which grew as an inner suburb of Budapest in the 18th and 19th centuries, and retains much of its fine old architecture. Home to several university buildings, plus the National Museum and the Natural History Museum, it has a lively student scene, with plenty of fashionable cafes and bistros, and is currently undergoing rapid gentrification. Every May, the National Museum holds a weekend festival featuring live performances, short film screenings, and folk art displays.
