We had a wonderful experience at the Maxmilian. The location was great being close to Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. Yet tucked away as it was on a side street it was very quiet. The breakfast spread, included in the price, was fresh and expansive. The staff was also very courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable and decorated in a contemporary style. You can also avail yourself of discounted services at the spa onsite at the hotel.
Fantastic hotel in the perfect location of Prague. Hotel staff, especially Martin at the front desk were professional and extremely helpful with restaurants and travel. We used the hotel limo service to and from airport and that made travel very easy. Room was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague
3 min away to old town by foot. On a great steeet like 5th avenue ny. It was so clean, there is a small kitchen you can cook. Negative 2 things: They have put 2 small duvet instead of 1 big, after we want a a big one they arranged a big one without cover up. Be careful about ordering water to room. They charges 250 krons per each. Overall it was very good experience.
Nice sized hotel with an intimate feel and great service from the staff. They upgraded our room and had made a special cake for our wedding anniversary which was in the room when we arrived. Room and public areas were very tasteful and the hotel is in a great position for exploring all parts of the city.
Our two bedroom apartment was large with lots of room. The apartment is situated in a really convenient location close to the old town square and very close to the river in a residential neighbourhood. The staff were located on site and very helpful and spoke excellent English. They really assisted to make our stay in Prague enjoyable and were able to assist with things to do and see as well as practical aspects like the best way to get to the airport and location of the local supermarkets.
Prague’s Jewish quarter witnessed oppression and suffering for centuries before the Nazis invaded during the Second World War. The tightly packed, insanitary buildings of the ghetto were mostly destroyed in the 1890s, but the Old Jewish Cemetery and several atmospheric synagogues survived. Best is the Old-New Synagogue, dating from around 1270.
