This hotel is situated in the "New Town" Prague, right beside the castle. For me, it was a wonderful location because it meant that I was getting exercise every day and it allowed me to walk across the Charles Bridge every day. The hotel itself was really cute and service was good. It was quiet and allowed me to relax at night. The wifi strength was good and I felt very safe as a lone female traveler.
I felt that prior reviews accurately reflected the hotel. It's best described as a "boutique" hotel with a lovely interior and basic amenities. The daily breakfast had good variety and was replenished regularly. It never felt super busy and I always walked away full. It was nice not to have to search for breakfast in the morning.
The hotel is at the top of a long hill, which I can understand would be difficult for older or overweight people. However, I am in reasonably good shape and it wasn't a problem at all. My only tip would be that you consider the cobblestone hill when thinking about how you will get to the hotel. I saw quite a few people struggling with suitcases on wheels.

A great hotel in a excellent location. With friendly helpful staff and an excellent breakfast. Maybe not for people with mobility issues as its a steep climb to the hotel up a cobbled street. The only problems we had concerned our room. It was very hard to get the temperature set a a comfortable level. With any heating on it was very hot and with the heating of it could be cold if you had a window open. There was no happy medium. Room cleaning was also a problem. We returned at 4pm one day after being out since breakfast and the room had not been cleaned. The cleaners arrived at 4.30pm which was inconvenient when we wanted to relax. Also unfortunately the satellite tv was down whilst we visited for over 48hours.
This was our first ever visit to the beautiful city of Prague. We had no idea where to stay but when we stumbled across the excellent reviews of The Residence Green Lobster we booked immediately. So glad we did! From the second we checked in until the second we left we were treated with nothing but excellence. We stayed in a suite, Room 111, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was just beautiful. The staff were beyond helpful and we have to say a very big thank you to Redek for our lovely anniversary wine and card. Such a lovely surprise! We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. You simply MUST stay here if you are visiting. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

City break at the Hotel Waldstein in Prague was perfect. Superb hotel in a perfect location about 10 mins walk to the Charles bridge which then leads you over to the Old Town. Could not fault anything about this full of character hotel. In fact could not fault anything about the whole Prague experience from the airport pick-up onwards. Staff were helpful, friendly and informative and really went out of their way to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Loved Prague and the Waldstein and will definitely return to both, would also recommend both to others. Expedia were excellent too. Great experience-thank you very much.
We were most impressed with the staff, who made our stay relaxing and were most helpful, on arrival we were greeted with tea and pastries in the peaceful garden. We were also offered a free upgrade as stephan was concerned with my husband climbing the stairs due a disability, the room was delightful.
Would definately return

Prague’s “Little Quarter” on the hillside below the castle hasn’t changed much since the 18th century. Endowed with parks and gardens as well as historic buildings, it is one of the city’s most delightful areas, overlooking the Old Town across the Charles Bridge.
