The hotel is well located for both the old town and restaurants. It also has good access to public transport. The staff were very helpful and rooms were cleaned daily to a very good standard. Unfortunately, the overall experience at this hotel could have been truly amazing. However, the bathtub experience was quite unpleasant. The bathroom is disproportionately large, featuring a small bathtub without a curtain. One is only able to shower while seated in the tub. If each person showering splashes even a little, a significant puddle forms on the floor. Additionally, the bathroom is quite cold, particularly during the winter months. The toilet is situated in a separate, dimly lit area. Hot water is supplied solely by a boiler. We were informed that 15 minutes should be sufficient to heat the water; however, the water was mostly lukewarm. The palace was quiet except it was the World Cup finals so we didn’t mind a bit of noise. Our room had a bedroom and a sitting room , which we loved after spending a full day walking around the country. One room for sleeping, one room for hanging out.
