"We didn’t know what to expect. It was quite remote but the scenery was amazing! Nestled in Uig bay , with a community shop and cafe only minutes away in the car. It took a while getting used to no internet but we could contact with family using the community cafe WiFi! We visited places like the Blackhouse village museum, Callanish alpacas ( worth a visit- a rescue centre Croft for wild and domesticated animals with a cafe serving great cakes! We saw the callanish stones and managed to reach great Bernera across the Atlantic bridge. This visit was for 3 days only and we will be returning again for longer! The Heb pod was clean and had enough kitchen items to prepare food etc (only one small request- egg cups and a chopping board ) would be helpful seeing there are lots of local eggs for sale😂. I think it would be good to emphasize no guarantee of wifi and if out and about to take other means of orientation ( we bought a map and compass) So overall 5 stars for the Heb pods and we hope to return to Lewis soon 😊"

"We loved our stay here on Lewis. The house had everything you could need, the coziest kitchen, books and toys for the kids, beach towels, beach things, and the best part, the owners are so lovely and provided so much info on the area and their family history which made it really special. The house is in a beautiful spot and near to a very well stocked community supermarket. "

"Wow!! A beautiful property in a stunning location. It is very spacious and very well equipped with everything you need. We loved the fabulous large kitchen leading into the conservatory... wow what a view!! It is so quite and peaceful, with the sheep, chickens & geese occasionally breaking the silence. It really is a perfect place to enjoy and explore these beautiful stunning islands. sadly we didn't see any seals nearby (but did elsewhere) and we were treated to several stunning Hebridean sunsets which could be enjoyed from the comfort of the fabulous conservatory. Marie was a perfect host and we can't thank Marie enough for being at the property when we arrived (due to ferry timetable changes we didn't arrive until after 10.30pm!!). This is our 2nd visit to Lewis & Harris in 3 years and we left a part of our hearts last time. We have left another part of our hearts this time not only with the islands but also this fabulous property. Absolutely recommend this property and we would return at a heartbeat."
