"We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Killin Hotel on route to the Highlands. Super friendly staff who were all helpful. Nice atmosphere. Good evening meals. We had one double room which was good and a single room which was a bit basic but clean + tidy. A good place to stay. "

"We booked this hotel at the last minute rather than going into Glasgow. It's unique. Hard to describe really. Our apartment not only had a kitchen and three bathrooms, but also a fully functioning sauna. the rugs were a bit dingy but overall it was amazing. the staff could not be more helpful or pleasant. We only ate at the restaurant once for a Caesar salad, and I might skip that. the grounds are stunning as you can see in the photos. A couple things you might want to know. It is VERY remote. it's 20 minutes on single track to get to aberfoyle, the closest very small town. But we did go to Ballard, a bit farther and took the train into Glasgow from there one day, Also wonderful access to Loch Loman and Loch Katrine and Sterling. Also the Expedia website says that the hotel does not have a reception desk and that there is no check in after 7 pm. This is not true. Wonderful reception open all hours. "
