A lovely hotel. We stayed 4 nights in Jul/Aug 2020. The staff were superb (especially helpful with restaurant reservations) the hotel was very clean and the location could not be better. One small negative - we had 2 garden view rooms between the 4 of us. Our daughters shared a room which has a fantastic shower - good pressure and coverage. We intended to stay just for one night on our way south to Spain, but one of our number fell ill after a hectic night out. The hotel was able to accommodate us in the same room and offered to help our party's recovery and transition the next day. Kind and thoughtful members of staff made our stay really memorable.

My husband and i had the most fantastic stay here. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and just a moment walking from the beach

Lovely hotel very close to the beach with wonderful staff, particularly Sylvie who was lovely with our children and very helpful. Having your own parking space is top value in a village which is almost impossible to park in. Pools were perfect temperature and the aircon in the bedrooms was blissful as we stayed during a heat wave.

A week stay for a family of three in one of the small apartments. The room was fine with all the facilities we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was getting a little tired hence only 4 stars. The pool was enjoyable. We didn't use our car all week - we hired a tandem and bicycle from the hotel and enjoyed discovering the lovely island via the many cycle routes. Ideal flat countryside for cycling. The bikes were in good condition and hire rates were competitive with other providers

The location is outstanding very close to a magnificent beach and only 5 mins by bicycle to the town which has an excellent market especially for fish. A bicycle is essential travel on Isle de Re and great fun. The rooms are quite amazing and very intimate indeed. The restaurant which is shared with a sister hotel is of a very high standard as is the Ocean restaurant in the town,so good dining alround. Heated pools a bonus.

All the staff and the welcome was seriously first class and went way beyond even relais and chateau standards where we usually choose to stay. Very genuine and impressive. Deborah at breakfast deserves a special mention. As the hotel is mainly round a beautiful courtyard it could be a little noisy at times. Very comfortable bed and super linens. bath towels a little small. Would absolutely recommend. we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return

Chose a stay in La Rochelle randomly, for a few civilised days by the sea (after being landlocked in the Charente with group of friends). A local friend warned us about the town being car hostile, and (especially during rugby tournament) extremely lively at night. We found Central Park just off the city centre, with a local parking (fairly essential if you are driving), and separated from the town by a beautifully maintained park area. The hotel was clean, staff were welcoming and the breakfasts were great value at 12€ as you could have hot and cold food, continental and typically French food. Hot and cold drinks were available too. My room was on the 4th floor, which was a short walk up from the lift at the 3rd floor and had a great view over the rooftops.
