We received a really warm welcome, and although breakfast was not served at the guesthouse, there was plenty of fruit, tea and coffee provided. The shared bathroom facilities were adequate for the number of guests so we never had to wait too long. The only thing we didn't like was the very thin walls, so we were woken by a couple in the next room having a heated discussion at midnight, and from above, by the creaking floorboards of the guest upstairs. Some people didn't observe quite time We didn't have a good night!

Hello Karl, We apologise for the noise! Our building is old and the wooden walls do not help with the noise. We have tried to mitigate it by offering ear plugs, although they probably won't help if there are heated discussions happening. We have staff checking the guesthouse after check-in and the owners stay in the building and are available 24/7, so we do wish someone would've pointed it out se appropriate actions would have been taken. Again apologies for the noise, but we do hope that your stay in Húsavík was nice nonetheless. Best regards,

Friendly and cozy house and the location by the river Búðará is great. The guesthouse is on the banks of the ornamental garden, so a lovely morning walk is just around the corner. The room was spacious and clean, with tea and coffee area and 3 restrooms across the hall. They even welcomed my little dog with a little blanket, a water bowl and treats! Not a common thing in Iceland. The owners live in the house so assistance is never far away.

The room was very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. They make an effort to make you feel comfy. The house is shoes off and you can have some flip flops like at home. I took the breakfast and was super tasty. Simple and healthy. The rooms are not completely sealed so you can get some sounds from the hallway and the room next door. This for very sensible people could be something to think about. But it’s not really bad. And they provide you with earplugs in the room which I thought was a very nice detail. I would definitely stay again if I’m back in husavik :)

Very conveniently located in city. Our bedrooms were in attic(kind of) and it was little uncomfortable but overall clean. House is old, too many cracking noise while walking.

Adorable guesthouse within walking distance of the bay. Loved staying here and wish we could have stayed more than one night. Our room was clean and well furnished, bed was so comfortable and the sound of the creek below our window put us right to sleep. Breakfast was delivered to our room and was delicious. Felt right at home.

Convenient hotel in an attractive setting
The hotel is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the bus stop and the major tour attractions and facilities of Husavik. The room was clean and comfortable and after check out I was able to leave my case there to collect later in the afternoon. The breakfast was ok but there was no choice, would have preferred a self service buffet

Despite the slight inconvenience of not being able to pre-pay like the rest of our hotels, this one really stood out for its character. There is very little parking and you will need to lug your bags up several stairs. However, we were given a room on the top floor - amazing! It was so cute and full of charm, and quite big for Europe. There was a fridge downstairs we were able to store things in, and on the first floor a hot water carafe for making tea or coffee. It included a decent breakfast in the morning as well. The owner was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would stay there again.

Merdi was for thoughtful. She gave us great recommendations and very pleasant to speak with. She also speaks 4-5 languages. Hotel was clean with plenty of bathrooms for everyone. I would go again

I've had both knees replaced in the last year, so the room on the third floor was a chore. At 63 I'm past the days of sharing bathrooms and shower facilities. Aside from these this is a pleasant house and the staff was pleasant and helpful. They set out a sufficient breakfast spread in the morning. If you have a car there are 3 spaces in a lot behind and then it's on the street parking.

Comfortable and spotless
Guests are required to remove their shoes on entry, which was a bit awkward while we were making multiple trips to/from the car during check-in. However, that policy helps the owner maintain this guesthouse in spotless condition. We had a ground floor room with 4 single beds and large windows overlooking the creek behind the house. The shared bathroom is right across the hall. The breakfast was superb, and there's a fantastic restaurant (Naustid) just across the street. The guesthouse owner gave us good information about birding locations in the area, which greatly enhanced our visit. Saltvik Farm, just south of town, offers horseback riding excursions along the coast. If the weather is clear, the scenery is breathtaking. We would happily stay here again.

When I show up and checked in I realized I had lost my credit card. Owner was amazing. Called all the gas stations I had been to. Let me go to bed and sort it all out in morning. Also gave me directions to some not as well known local places that weren't in my guide book. ask her about Cheese Hot Tubs. Excellent place to stay.
