We were looking forward to our stay here, but honestly disappointed. Reception was cold and not particularly friendly. The room was tiny. Beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was crowded and the food just okay. Servers felt relatively new, minimally trained and disengaged. Breakfast was also just okay. The room hallway was cluttered with restaurant serviceware. Additionally, we noticed a random slipper that had been dropped in the hallway. It was there at 7pm when we checked in and still there the next morning at 11am when we checked out. Location was an easy 15-minute drive to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Not a lot of hotel choices in the immediate area, but we'd make another selection if we traveled there again. For the price of the rooms and the unique location, a little friendliness and personality would make a real difference in guest experience. Between the room and dinner for two, we spent over $500 USD for the overnight stay ... and not one staff member thanked us.
