"We had a lovely few days staying at the cottage which was very convenient for local sight seeing. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and lovely large rooms to spend time relaxing as well as enjoying local walks. Would recommend to everyone."

"We returned to stay at the Old Stables again for a few days, coupled with a visit to Glastonbury and Wells. Again, everything was perfect and we love the location, providing excellent access to both towns, with a wonderful rural setting. The space is warm and cosy, with everything being thoughtfully provided for a self-catering stay. We will certainly be back!"

"Lovely clean, very well equipped cottage with a delightful garden. All our needs were catered for. The cottage is in a fabulous setting. Ideal location for walking our dog and a wonderful pub providing exceptional food within a few minutes stroll. Splendid National Trust property almost on the doorstep. Hope to return to the cottage before too long."

"This is not the Ritz - but there are some really good points - it's lovely and quiet - so a good sleep was easy. Take your own towels - ones provided were not great - I would also say take your own bedding. One major for a couple is the double is on a mezz and the toilet is down stairs - this didn't effect me as I was on my own so slept in the single room downstairs. Owner is lovely - and my stay in Sherborne very nice. Lovely place."

"A beautiful, idyllic place to gather and share family memories. There were eleven family members with five more joining us for meals over the course of three days. The property and house were spacious and comfortable, with more than enough supplies to set a table and serve sixteen family members multiple meals with ease. "Perfect for our visit. In the area for a wedding and it really filled the bill for my wife, myself, our son and daughter and our young granddaughter. Co-op store across the street. Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity. Great communication with the owner and easy access to the property. "

"What a lovely place to stay in Sherborne. Beautifully clean, has everything you could need for your stay. The location is great, walkable to anywhere in town and the added bonus of having the station here for day trips."

"Cottage just georgous, lovely and quiet. We had a good rest whilst enjoying the local sites of Wells and Frome. We enjoyed a meal at the Oakhill pub at the end of the road, a very good recommendation. Beds were compfy, shower good, everything you need kitchen wise, garden great for our small dogs. The fire was great and we were kept very warm. For us, the sofa was the only downside. Ultimately we loved our stay ❤️"

"We had a lovely stay, the property was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The location for us was great, if you like walking then highly recommend. Within 40 minutes drive there is a large number of places to visit and the village has everything you need. Pub within a couple of minutes walk as well as shops for supplies. Would happily stay here again."

"Nice place and have been twice now but I have to be honest that I was shocked at damp and mould on walls/ceiling and around patio doors in back bedroom. No problems anywhere else in property with damp. If this property has a cleaner coming in to turn it around then I think they need to be spoken too, as when you look close it’s not great. I would return if things improved as it a lovely setting and location"

"The cottage is amazing. So well equipped, cosy and clean. The bathroom is beautiful. It’s in an ideal area to explore Dorset but equally we had a lovely cosy afternoon/evening when it was wet. Hayley has made the cottage the perfect romantic hideaway with all the essentials needed for a cosy break. Highly recommended."
