Presumably due to.Covid it is reduced to a single building with no riverfront access. Also the room was supposed to have garden view, but that was not the case, we looked on to a wall. The hotel is in a quiet area and has beautiful tranquil setting, nice gardens and two pools and river view. The friendly staff were very attentive and some spoke good English. Taxis were readily available from outside the hotel and a 20 minute journey took you into the heart of Ho Chi Min City. Suite room's balcony is perfect for tanning and resting but sofa is very very dirty. Thao Dien is located in downtown but it has quiet atmosphere. The cooking is a cheap but it has no taste. I may well think so? And I did not receive service on time although when I ordered room service at a specified time. Thao Dien Boutique Hotel is absolutely stunning. Its villas are located right on the river with beautiful views of palm trees and passing boats and the hotel property is covered in gorgeous trees and plants and fountains making you feel like you are not in the city at all. The pool area is lovely as are its multiple outdoor dining areas which serve excellent food. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The spa was wonderful as well. Considering how crowded and hectic the city center can be, this was a wonderful way to stay in Ho Chi Minh City and still get a resort-like experience. It was a quick and affordable cab ride into the city center, and the neighborhood around the hotel is lovely with many shops, restaurants, and cafes.
