Excellence El Carmen - Adults Only All Inclusive

"I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. The service, the food, and the resort were out of this world. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. I booked the Jr. Swim up suite and had an absolute blast swimming in our own space when we didn't feel like going to the main pool. Workers would even come by when they saw us on the deck and offered to bring us drinks. We stayed for 5 nights and could have stayed another 5. My only complaint was that the late night room service food wasn't as good as the restaurants. Other than that, everything was pristine. We never had a problem getting a table or chairs by the pool or the beach (even when we got there after 1pm). They offer some fun classes throughout the day and shows at night. Its a very calm resort and is great for anyone looking to relax. I am already thinking about booking another stay and its only been a week since I left."

"It was great staying at TRS. The staff were great helpful. Bunch of activities to do. The room was always clean well kept . Dinners are with reservations which they can book it for you and restaurants are five stars. Our favourite restaurants were La lola. Overall it’s great place to stay if u love to enjoy drinks , peaceful morning and lively nights it’s amazing place to stay."

"Great resort! The pools were amazing. The palm trees offer great shade on the beach. The waterpark is amazing for kids and so is the kids club. They offer many different activities for kids. Some restaurants are closed at night and there are no reservations so it’s important to get to dinner early so you don’t wait long. Food was good and buffet offered great variety. Would definitely be staying there again."

"This is me and my family’s second time at the property and we love it. What stands out here is the customer service. Every one treats you so nice and you feel like family. What can be improved is the food. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would return. If you can get the finest club, do it and go see Albert for the best drinks. Javier and team has the entertainment on lock and will ensure you have a great time. Wellington, Manuel and crew will take care of you on the beach. Don’t hesitate and book for a wonderful family trip."

2/10 Terrible

"Do not stay here. Roaches located in restaurants and in our room. Most of the Staff are not helpful and are rude. They acted like they did not want to be there. Multiple restaurants were not open and majority of restaurants required reservations that could only be made in the morning by another staff. Our door did not lock the whole trip and it was very unsettling for one of the hotel rooms we had. We had to sleep all in the room that the lock did work. We were 5 lady’s and did not feel secure. In addition, We were relaxing in the lobby bar and they turned the light off so we could leave. Room service not 24 hours. The pools and beach were really nice and the bartenders were nice as well as the lady’s at the coffee bar. Other than that I will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend to anyone."

"Raul the butler was amazing. He helped me book restaurants, spa appointments, ride to the airport, and was very responsive and very kind. The food was great. My favorite restaurant was the Argentinian steakhouse. FYI if you book through Expedia, the sales team will give you a 2-3 hour presentation about the resort’s membership."
