Great location for the hotel to see both the Shinhotaka ropeway and the Kamikochi park. Inside it was clean, quiet and, of course, great private onsens. 2 indoor and 1 outdoor. Water was very hot, but relaxing. Will definitely book again if we're back here

Hirayu is among Japan's most famous winter sports destinations. Around 3 ski runs of different levels are open between December and March each year. Enjoy a little time in the ski village and grab any gear you need for downhill skiing. If you're a newbie, there's at least one beginners' area where you can brush up on your technique. There's also a spa centre to make use of here. After a fun day of slopeside adventures, your aching body will be in the mood for a restorative massage. How To Get Around
Many ski enthusiasts who book one of our Hirayu holiday packages jet into Shinshu-Matsumoto Airport. From there, it's one hour before you're swooshing down the slopes of Hirayu's best runs. It takes one hour to reach the runs from the middle of Hirayu, and parking is free. If you're driving during the wintertime, snow chains are recommended. Secure your spot on the mountain by selecting from season-pass, full-day and half-day ticket types. Another thing you'll want to select is one of Expedia's Hirayu ski package deals.
