Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our stay at Windjammer Reflections Lakehouse was wonderful! The house was extremely clean and comfortable for our group! The property manager was very helpful and answered any questions we had. The view of Lake Chatuge & Mtns was lovely. I would definitely stay here again!

This house was 5 star! Beautifully decorated, all the amenities needed, and spectacular view of the lake from every window! The dock and the kayaks and stand up paddle boards were a bonus. Our family loved it all.

We stayed at the property for a short girls weekend last weekend and it was amazing! Both the owner and the property manager were very responsive to questions that we had. This property includes a covered boat dock which we used. The steps leading down to the dock are made with large boulders and pretty easy to navigate; not too much of a hike. The location is perfect. This property is a new home so blinds or curtains have not made it on all the windows yet and the driveway is a tad steep, but nothing we couldn’t handle! The interior and exterior of the home are so well thought out and just gorgeous! We will definitely stay again.
